The kind folks over at AtomFilms have informed us that there's a special theme for the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge's next phase. We're looking for films about the Women of Star Wars. From Princess Leia to Pink Five, the Star Wars Universe is packed with kick-butt women. Make a fan movie featuring your favorite Star Wars heroine - or create your own. If it's great, we'll put it up on Spike TV. Your Women of Star Wars movie is due to us no later than August 31, 2007 if you want it considered for TV airing on Spike TV. | Featured Artist Craig Burt-Painting by Numbers 30 | |
Featured Artist Craig Burt has provided us with a breakdown of one of his paintings that provides us with a look into how the picture came about. Here is some of the article created by Craig: This, Papatine's Plain, I think, is the second of these Star Wars paintings when starting on this painting binge. The first was another version of this, that being the first painting I'd tried in years and was terrible; it was badly painted and I'd even forgot how to mix colors. So that means Naboo Booboo was actually the first scene painted in this series and in fact the third painting I'd tried in however many years.
