eFX Shakes Thing Up!

RebelScum has the latest information on eFX and how they will be different from Master Replicas. Here's what eFX has to say :

"As many of you know, we had originally announced that the pre-order day for our very first product, the Stormtrooper Helmet, was to be on May 5, 2008. However, since eFX is a brand new company, we are going to initiate many new groundbreaking ideas that some many even consider "sacrilege" since they will break some old "traditions". We have decided to scratch the whole pre-order process and establish a WORLDWIDE on-sale date when the product will be available the same day whether you are on Los Angeles, Tokyo or London! We will try to announce the availability date at least 30 days in advance. We think that our collectors will appreciate and like this new process."

  • Be able to see images of the actual product before you purchase
  • Allows you to better plan your finances since you will know exactly when your credit card will be charged
  • Eliminates the frustration of waiting an uncertain amount of time before you actually receive your product.

Other products that are on the horizon for eFX include:

  • Ralph McQuarrie Concept Darth Vader helmet
  • Episode 2 Clone Trooper helmet
  • Episode 4 Obi-Wan Kenobi Lightsaber
  • Red 5 X-Wing Fighter

This seems like a fair way to do things. Fans will just really need to be ready for what it is they want to get their hands on.

Samuel L. Jackson Voices Maces Windu

SithClan.net had the opportunity to speak with Samuel L. Jackson at the Hotel Le Bristol in Paris. There they asked if he would be voicing the Mace Windu character in the CGI Clone Wars. Much to their surprise he said yes, that he had in fact voiced the Mace character. If you will remember, MTV had asked him previously if he would be interested in doing so and he was very excited about the idea as long as Lucasfilm gave him a call. I guess they did! Be sure to read the article, but it is originally in French, so get out those translators!

Chewie In CGI Clone Wars?

TF.N has an article stating the possibility that we will see Chewbacca in the upcoming CGI Clone Wars Series. Ares of StarWars-Universe.com asked if Peter Mayhew "had been contacted by George Lucas or Rick McCallum regarding The Clone Wars or the live action series.

Peter responded that Chewbacca should show up in TCW as a figure of him is already in the works. Even more interesting is that Mr. Mayhew let slip that there could be a possibility of not just one but 3 Clone Wars movies if things go well." More movies? That would be great!
