Battle of Yavin Expansion
The Official Star Wars Site has announced that the Battle of Yavin, the major engagement of Episode IV that has now been translated into an expansion set of the Star Wars Trading Card Game from Wizards of the Coast. In a trading card game, opponents simulate the battle of the light side versus the dark side through the use of cards representing characters, vehicles, situations and more from the Star Wars galaxy. Players customize their decks with cards of varying power and effect, and do battle in three combat "arenas" -- character, ground and space-based conflicts. The first player to conquer two arenas win.
This new expansion adds 105 cards into the mix, inspired by the action-packed final act of Episode IV. For card collectors, there's also rare premium foiled versions of all the cards in the set. The cards will be available in 11-card booster packs. The Battle of Yavin expansion is scheduled for arrival on March 31. For some pictures of the cards in this set, go here!
