The Official Star Wars Site has announced that on February 19, the Visual Effects Society (VES) held its First Annual VES Awards ceremony to honor excellence for visual effects in feature films, television, commercials and music videos.

The work of Industrial Light & Magic on Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones was honored with nominations in six major categories. The team of Paul Huston, Yusei Uesugi, and Jonathan Harb took home the award for Best Matte Painting in a Motion Picture. Congratulations to all.
