May-June Comics

The Official Star Wars Site has a listing of some upcoming comics from Dark Horse Comics planned for May, as well as some additional Clone Wars goodies for June! The four-part story of Biggs Darklighter continues in Star Wars: Empire #9. In this second installment, newly commissioned Imperial officer Biggs is assigned aboard the Rand Ecliptic. He witnesses first-hand the evil ways of the Empire, and begins to conspire against his superiors. Together with his fellow mutinous companions, Biggs plots to jump ship and join the Rebellion, but has the Empire uncovered his plan? Find out in Star Wars: Empire #9, which is due out on May 7.

The Clone Wars continue in Star Wars: Republic #54. The Jedi have become generals leading the armies of the Republic, but Quinlan Vos has instead gone deep undercover. Behind Confederacy lines, Vos spies on the Separatists, but when he refuses a direct order to return to Coruscant, his loyalty is called into question. Has Quinlan Vos turned traitor? And who has the Jedi Council dispatched to gather their unpredictable operative? It is scheduled for release on May 21.

In June, the first trade paperback of the Clone Wars publishing program is released as Star Wars: Clone Wars, Vol. 1: The Defense of Kamino. This 128-page volume gathered Star Wars: Republic #49-50, and the Star Wars Jedi: Mace Windu. The Separatists make a strike at the heart of the Republic's cloning operation, while Mace Windu discovers treachery within the Jedi ranks and a new female Dark Jedi working for Count Dooku. It is scheduled for release on June 18.
