New Fan Art

Anthony K. Harvey sent in some more great Fan Art pictures. Thanks to Anthony for making this great contribution and sorry for the delay. The first piece is entitled Twi'light Falls - Midnight Rises. It features a female Twi'lek Dark Jedi scholar with joined lightsabers (with force-switchable obsidian / red crystals). The second piece is entitled Twi'light - Jedi Knight. It features a female Twi'lek Jedi Knight with Joined Lightsabers. Lastly, there is a piece is entitled Twi'light in Disguise as a Mercinary. This is one of Twi'light's disguises. Her boots have special hidden compartments that contain her lightsabers. The brown outside flaps snap into the swash top in order to keep them from falling out just in case she is held upside down. To see his work and other great pieces, go to the Fan Art section!

With just five months to go chatter about the final installment of George Lucas' Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge Of The Sith, is heating up and today The GATE has snagged two of the first images from the film. One, featuring a close-up of Anakin and another of Anakin with Obi-Wan.

Without any further ado, here they are. The top picture shows Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, alongside Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, while the bottom one is a closeup of Christensen as Anakin.

Star Wars Episode III ½ Coming Soon

George Lucas Today announced that Star Wars III ½ will be released in December 2005. It’s working title is “The Rise of Darth Claus”.

“We felt that the Star Wars world lacked something but it has taken us nearly thirty years to work out what was actually missing, Christmas” said Lucas as he stroked his greying beard. “ In this festive season it suddenly occurred to us that the characters needed some festival in which to receive unwanted sweaters and obscure after shave from relatives far far away, so we have created the storyline that has Yoda create a clone of Anakin Skywalker from a sample of DNA taken from a glass of egg nog” continued Lucas as a Reindeer walked pass his window

“That clone grows and becomes the antithesis of Vader although is equally strong with the force. Darth Claus as he is named decides to give presents every year at the festival of Yool, a Wookie mid winter festival that celebrates hairyness.”

Yep, you guessed right; The above info is fake. Click here to continue reading the rest of the article from The Spoof!<?font>

Star Wars Battlefront Updates to 32 Players

LucasArts and Pandemic Studios have announced they are working on a new update for Star Wars Battlefront.

It will increase the simultaneous player capability to 32. The new feature will require that the player hosting the game has at least both an up- and downstream of 1.5 megabit. Such a bandwidth guarantees no lag for all players.

The update will also include a new map already released to the PC version that sends players back to the desert planet of Tatooine; Jabba’s Palace. The action will include battles with Gamorrean Guards, the dreaded Rancor and even an appearance by Jabba the Hutt.
