Star Wars Insider
#105 |
The Official Star Wars Site has announced that the 105th issue of
Star Wars Insider, the official magazine published by Titan, comes with
not just one, but two newsstand edition covers in addition to the exclusive
edition. Though heroes and villains grace the covers, inside, you'll find the
same galaxy of great content, including:
- A celebration of Return of the Jedi; commemorate its 25 years by
exploring a unique visual commentary
- An interview with Matthew Wood, the man behind the rasping, rage-filled
villain General Grievous, as well as master of a universe of Star Wars
noises as a supervisor at Skywalker Sound.
- An interview with Adrienne Wilkinson, the actress behind the moody Maris
Brood from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
- Visual effects legend Ken Ralston discusses his early days at Industrial
Light & Magic during the original Star Wars.
Filling out the issue are all the regular departments and columns: The
Science of Star Wars demands we get the jetpacks we were all promised,
while A Long Time Ago... looks back at 1996. Star Wars Insider pits Asajj
Ventress against Maris Brood in Versus, while the Collecting columns looks
inside Star Wars lunchboxes. There's also Bantha Tracks, Bounty Hunters,
Classic Moment and much, much more!
Star Wars Insider #105 hits newsstands on November 4th. Come back to
StarWars.com that week for an excerpt from the feature Maris Brood
interview. |

Fanboys Delayed
Until 2009 |
TF.N is reporting that according to an article about the
Weinstein Co. at the LA Times, it seems that Fanboys is now being
delayed until February 6th. "Fanboys": Harvey says the movie has been moved to
February "so we can do a major promotion with Comcast, who's arranging for a big
advertising tie-in for us on the film." I guess we will have to wait a little
longer!

Lightsabre
News |
Our good friend Mark and fellow
"Sworian" from Lightsabre sends in the latest news.
"Hope this email finds you well. As you probably noticed the site was very
quiet last week and part of the week before. My Mom was taken ill on holiday and
I had to travel to Malta to be with her and Dad and organise getting them home.
We arrived back in the UK last Friday, Mom's seeing a specialist Thursday and
fingers crossed we've caught this thing early.
While that was going on Louis ably stepped into the breach, so I'd like to
say a big thanks to him and the rest of the Lightsabre team, especially
Jonathan, Paul, Matt, James and Jason for helping keep my head together while I
was away. I won't forget that guys.
And also to John Singh of Lucasfilm for postponing a big interview we had
lined up for last week. Your best wishes were a great comfort.
As for the site we're back and up to date. Yesterday we presented our
Howie Weed interview, which was very swiftly organised and completed thanks to
Howie and Greg Grusby at ILM, and next week we should follow that up with our
latest webmaster interview followed by the second part of our Tom Hodges
interview.
Obviously not a huge amount to report other than that as we wind up the
gears again and get back to racing speed, but check the site out for the latest
news, Setnin Select and more from the Setnin Sector as well as some fantastic
images from the forthcoming Star Trek movie - featuring ILM doing some amazing
work - and the usual Lightsabre regulars.
And remember to visit www.swora.net for news of Richard LeParmentiers
forthcoming trip to Portugal and our sister site www.admiralmotti.co.uk for
much, much more."
Thanks Mark. I hope your mother gets better soon! |
