Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is the Fan Film entitled
I.M.P.S.: Norca System.
I.M.P.S.: Norca System is a fan film that made its debut on the Internet
November 27, 2009. I.M.P.S. (Imperial Military Personnel Stories) shows troops
that serve on the Revenge-class Star Destroyer Relentless as it
goes on patrols and missions.
After a long wait, Chapter 2 again really delivers on original
music and professional visual effects. As always, the film has some great light
humor. If you have younger viewers, there is some mild language to be aware of
as there are conversations that you would typically find in a military unit.
Join the 181st Mechanized Armor Assault Division as they drop for
ground assault on Norca II. You can find this great video in My Favorite Fan Films
section. You can find
other Fan Films in the Other Star Wars
Fan Films section. Enjoy!

This video is the full trailer for
Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side. The saga continues as
Luke (Chris), Leia (Lois), Han Solo (Peter) and Chewbacca (Brian) have evaded
the dreaded Imperial Starfleet led by the cunning, conniving and curiously short
evil lord Darth Vader (Stewie), setting up a new secret base on the remote ice
world of Hoth. With the rebellion in trouble, young Skywalker must take the
advice of his late, and rather lascivious, mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) and
learn the ways of the "farce" under Jedi Master Yoda (Carl) to save the galaxy
once and for all.
Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side
will be available beginning December 22 from Twentieth Century Fox Home
Entertainment on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. Enjoy!

The Clone Wars
Virtual Camera |
Wired's blog called Underwire has a very interesting article about the Virtual
Camera and how it is used to create Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes.
All Lucasfilm Animation workers need to see, touch and manipulate characters,
ships and planets is a flat-screen monitor, a stylus and access to the company’s
Director’s Toolkit and virtual camera pre-visualization technology.
“Our pre-viz tool allows us to create a simple blocking of scenes with
characters and sets, and position as many cameras as needed to quickly capture
the director’s vision,” Clone Wars CG supervisor Joel Aron told
Wired.com.
Lucasfilm’s virtual camera is yet another weapon in the filmmaking arsenal
ready and waiting at 21-century directors’ fingertips. These powerful digital
tools are rapidly changing the way movies and television shows are assembled —
and what fans see on-screen, in animated attractions as well as CGI-enhanced
live-action films. Be sure to read the entire article!

Thoughts and
Prayers |
I am saddened to learn that our
friend Mark Newbold, from our affiliate Lightsabre has lost his mother to cancer this weekend after a
long battle. As a result, his site will be on hiatus until late December. I
would like to send our thoughts and prayers to Mark during this difficult time.
Take care.
