In June, Aragorn sent in a report that talked about characters and places that could possibly be in Episode III. This time he has some information about a series of droids that I think we will see in Episode III.

"I just read about IG-88 in the Official Star Wars Fact File from DeAgostini. It hasn't got much about IG-88's specific lifetime, but it explains why the designers created the IG series."

"It goes on to explain that the Empire employed the designers to created a squadron of deadly, unemotional droids equipped with formidable armoury to quash the Rebellion in the early days of the Rebellion."

"The IG-88 series (containing five IGs, IG-88A to IG-88E), upon activation, destroyed their designers so that the series' flaws could never be exploited when it came time to destroy the series."

"The IG series, like all technologies, fell into the wrong hands: warlords, crime-lords, and so on used them for their dirty work. One particular IG-88, the one from Empire Strikes Back, is inspired to embark on a long and ghastly spin as a Bounty Hunter. As you see, it doesn't go into much detail about the specific IG from ESB."

Thanks for the great report Aragorn! I really think we will see a IG-88 type of droid in Episode III, but only time will tell for sure.
