The Making of Episode II Part 9

As I mentioned last night, the Official Star Wars Site has posted the ninth installment of "The Making of Episode II." It was November, 1978 -- in an era before home video or downloadable Star Wars entertainment on demand. The notion of a two-hour Star Wars Holiday Special on television was electrifying to many a fan. Though the end program delivered mixed results, there was a definite standout of the evening. An animated segment introduced fans to a memorable new character -- Boba Fett.

This new bounty hunter soon was everywhere. Comic strips, preview action figures, apparel, and elsewhere -- all in anticipation to his big-screen debut in The Empire Strikes Back.

History has a way of repeating itself. With a few scant months to go before the premiere of Attack of the Clones, there's a new bounty hunter who's the talk of the town. Be sure to take a look!
