AOTC Soundtrack

Billboard.com has announced that Sony Classical will release the soundtrack to "Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones" on April 30. The album will feature a new score by Academy Award-winner John Williams, who wrote the music for the four previous "Star Wars" films. Recording with the London Symphony Orchestra will begin this month.

Sony Classical released the soundtrack to "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace" in 1999; it has sold 2 million units worldwide, according to the label. "Attack of the Clones" opens May 16 in North American theaters.

I loved listening to the new music from The Phantom Menace and I tried to imagine what might be happening in the movie. I was actually right on target with the Duel of the Fates music when it first came out. I knew that dark tune would have to center around Darth Maul. Will I be as lucky this time? I'm not sure, but I plan on getting my copy on April 30!
