Today's new video clip is another preview for Episode 11 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 5 entitled "A Sunny Day in the Void." After a comet damages their shuttle, R2-D2, Colonel Gascon, and the other droids crash on a desolate planet where they must make their way across a bewildering expanse of emptiness to carry out their mission. After A Sunny Day in the Void, the series will return with all new episodes starting on January 5, 2013. I hate the long break. Enjoy! | |

| Troops of Doom Hits 500 Comics | |
The Troops of Doom comic hit 500 episodes this week. Stop by for multiple "Become a Troop of Doom" contests where readers can have a character named after them and have a recurring role in the comic. Troops of Doom is an action figure webcomic featuring GI Joe battling Star Wars for Lego technology. Launched in February 2008 and updated as often as possible Monday to Friday. | Disney Cleared To Purchase Lucasfilm | |
The Huffington Post has announced that Federal antitrust regulators have cleared Disney's $4 billion deal to buy Lucasfilm, the filmmaking empire behind the "Star Wars" franchise. Notice of the clearance was issued Tuesday. Representatives for The Walt Disney Co. and Lucasfilm Ltd. did not immediately respond to requests for comment. When the deal was announced in October, no formal closing date was announced. The purchase stoked "Star Wars" fans because along with the surprise announcement, Disney said it would make sequels to the six-part series with plans to release the first in the next trilogy, Episode 7, in 2015. Lucasfilm founder George Lucas is to receive about half of the $4.05 billion purchase price in cash and half in newly issued Disney shares. He has said he'd donate much of it to charity. | |

| Star Wars Legacy To Return | |
Comic Book Resources has announced that Star Wars: Legacy will return in 2013 written by Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman. Set over 100 years after the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, the newest iteration will feature a young woman who is the great-granddaughter of Han Solo and Leia Organa! While the pair have born twins in the previous expanded universe tales, the status and the outlook of this new face remain unknown. Be on the lookout for the return of the Legacy series! | George Lucas' Involvement In Episode VII | |
Access Hollywood has an article where they caught up with George Lucas and asked him some questions. When asked about Episode VII, George answered: “[If the filmmakers ask],‘Who’s this guy?’ I can tell them,” he told Access at the event in Los Angeles. “I mean, they have a hundred encyclopedias and things, but I actually know a lot. I can say, ‘This is this and this is that.’” But answering questions about the more remote characters of his beloved galaxy may be where George’s involvement ends. “Basically I’m not — I don’t really have much to do,” he said.
