Jawa Scavenger
Hunt Game
Jawas are scavengers on the desert planet Tatooine. Cruising the
planet in sandcrawlers, the cloaked creatures seek and collect
artifacts that litter the landscape. Some of the items that Jawas
scavenge include scrap metal from crashed spaceships and whole
droids. In this activity, you get to act like a Jawa. Well, almost.
You will cruise around the landscape of StarWarsKids.com seeking and
collecting information in order to answer questions presented in the
scav hunt game. Have fun and watch out for Tusken Raiders! Click

2003 Earth Day
Report Card
How would the Star Wars universe score in the areas of
energy, garbage and the environment? Pretty well, actually. TIE
fighters are powered by solar energy, Jawas recycle, and Naboo's
cities set an interstellar example of how to beautifully blend
nature and architecture. On the other hand, city-planet Coruscant
has a billion residents and a garbage problem to match. In this fun
feature, StarWarsKids.com examines the planets, creatures and
cultures of the saga to discover some lessons for our Earth Day. Click
here to check it out.
The "Who Said
It?" Game
Who said, "I am here to put you back on schedule." Was it
Vader, Darth Maul or the Emperor? How about... "Do you like
your army?" Was it Palpatine in Ep II, Jango or Vader? The
answers might be in your head and they can definitely be found in
the Who Said It? game. Ten new entries have just been added bringing
you more than 125 quotes to test your knowledge of the saga. Each
quote is presented with three possible characters who might have
said it. Too fun. Click
here to play now.
On-Going ~ Padawan of
the Week
Each week one StarWarsKids.com Padawan is honored as the
"Padawan of the Week" for their participation in the
Viewscreen communities. The Viewscreens are kid-safe message boards
where participants discuss all aspects of Star Wars. These
Padawans are especially recognized for their interesting Star
Wars questions and comments, their friendly debate skill, and
their welcoming spirit to all new participants. The Padawan Post is
proud to highlight recent honorees,
April 24, from the Books & Toys Viewscreen: "...But
I also recommend that you read whatever is at your reading level.
That way you can get the full Star Wars experience! May the
Force be with you!"
~ Padawan Jacen's gurl
April 17, from the Saga Talk Viewscreen: "2 generallee5:

~ Padawan General Dodanna
April 10, from the Saga Talk Viewscreen: "To Little
Matty H: That struck me as ironic 2 - a former slave, enslaving not
only millions of people but entire species and planets."
~ Padawan Bria Theran
April 3, from the Padawan Viewscreen: "queenjamilla: I
agree. The system of ELECTING queens (or kings) is very neat and
each queen has her own sort of beauty and politics."
