The Padawan Post #55

The latest Padawan Post has arrived and here are some features for you to enjoy:

Thank You E-Cards
Thank YOU, young Padawans, for suggesting Star Wars themed "Thank You" E-cards. Thanks to your enthusiasm and requests, StarWarsKids.com is glad to present seven different e-cards for you to e-mail your friends and family. What are you thankful for? These e-cards provide creative messages to thank someone for being a cool friend, a big help, a good teacher, and a great parent. But wait there's more... thank someone for letting you borrow his or her stuff and for giving you a great gift. Finally, thank a special someone for not being so irritating
. :-) Click here to view and email all seven now.

Lore: Is Boba Fett a Bad Kid?
Talk about a hot topic. Hundreds of young Padawans responded to this question on the StarWarsKids.com Viewscreens with very strong opinions, mostly in favor of the idea that Boba is not a bad kid but merely a product of his environment. Others, however, found it easier to call it like they saw it - he is a bad kid. Period. This Lore feature examines the behavior of young Boba Fett in Episode II, presents a variety of quotes from the Viewscreens, and then asks you to consider how your parents and your environment influence your behavior. Read and respond to this feature by clicking here.

The "Which Film Is It?" Game
So, how many times have you seen the films of the saga? Whether you have a particular favorite or you love them equally, this fun game will challenge your memory of key and low-key scenes from all the Star Wars films. To play, simply look at an image and click on the correct film title. Ten new entries have just been added, bringing the total to more than 120 images to play with. Click here to play now.

Site Highlight ~ Unlikely Heroes
It probably takes you less than two-seconds to think of your favorite Star Wars heroes. Your answers might include Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. But consider for a moment the unlikely heroes of the Star Wars saga -- those characters who don't have typical heroic qualities yet display heroic moments or actions that help the forces of good win over evil. This Lore feature highlights a few of these characters, pointing out what makes them unsuspecting and what makes them heroic. Click here to read more.

On-Going ~ Padawan of the Week
Each week one StarWarsKids.com Padawan is honored as the "Padawan of the Week" for their participation in the Viewscreen communities. The Viewscreens are kid-safe message boards where participants discuss all aspects of Star Wars. These Padawans are especially recognized for their interesting Star Wars questions and comments, their friendly debate skill, and their welcoming spirit to all new participants. The Padawan Post is proud to highlight recent honorees,

March 20, from the Saga Talk Viewscreen: "2 Qwi Kux: I'm sorry, but I disagree with u about Obi-Wan being afraid to train Luke for fear of him falling to the dark side. Obi-Wan seems to have lost his arrogance as he got older."
~ Padawan Little Matty_H

March 13, from the Padawan Viewscreen: "Violin Padawan Cerasi: SURE! This is awesome! I've met more people here that like Star Wars than I knew there were in the world. LOL. Prove my mom wrong...I'm not the only one! LOL."
~ Padawan Jedimaster_Jaina_Solo

March 6, from the Padawan Viewscreen: "I would choose Luke Skywalker as my Jedi Master because he is a good teacher and understanding of others and knows that everyone has their own pace at studying."
~ Padawan jediluke13
