Dantooine is the tenth planetary environment revealed by LucasArts for Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, the first installment of the upcoming massively multiplayer online game series.

Dantooine is an important world in Star Wars lore, having served as home to an early Rebel base and an ancient Jedi training center. The grasslands and steppes of the tranquil world support an indigenous species of primitive nomads called the Dantari, which will be featured in the game. Players exploring Dantooine can expect to find a sizable Imperial occupation force, and a small band of smugglers led by a vicious crime lord.

The olive, blue and brown-colored world, Dantooine from the Star Wars Universe will also be featured in the upcoming video game Knights of the Old Republic.
