The TIE Interdictor was designed by Sienar shortly after the Empire's defeat at Endor. The TIE Interdictor featured four weapons bays, each capable of carrying a dozen or so explosives. Even though it lacked shields, the TIE Interdictor was still very expensive because of its massive warhead bays, and therefore was never mass-produced by the Empire. The TIE Interdictor is unshielded and unpopular with bomber pilots, but a single Interdictor is nonetheless worth 4 regular bombers in terms of firepower.
