Kevin Graham Art Donations

My good friend and Featured Artist Kevin Graham will be donating a piece for auction and a piece to charity. Kevin is an Official Star Wars Artist and many of his pieces have made their way into Topps Star Wars card sets.

"I am extremely excited to announce that my artwork will be featured in Topps Star Wars Galaxy 5 card set coming out January 2010. The original black and white Boba Fett artwork will be auctioned off at Star Wars Fan Days III. The original artwork is 11”x17” on 100lb card stock. There will be 75 free prints available of the color artwork at Star Wars Fan Days III to help promote the auction.

I am also donating an original hand drawn Cad Bane cel sketch card from Topps Star Wars Widevision set coming out this November. Get more details on the Topps Clone Wars Widevision card set.  Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation. The auction will be hosted by Steve Sansweet and will be held Saturday at 4:00pm Main Auditorium during Star Wars Fan Days III. Get more information on the auction."

Aspyr.com has provided the PC Specs for The Force Unleashed-Ultimate Sith Edition. Unless you have a newer computer, don't expect to be able to by and play this game. PC Minimum System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2. Windows 7
  • CPU Processor: 2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM
  • Hard Disk Space: 23.8 GB + 1 GB Swap File
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
  • Video Card: 3D Hardware Accelerator Card Required – 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible 256 MB Video Memory with Shader 3.0 support

  • Video Card (Nvidia): Geforce 8800

Oh well. It looks like I will need a much stronger PC if I plan to play future Star Wars PC games.

Daily Video Clip

Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is Developer Dispatch 4-The Making of Coruscant for the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic developed for the PC as a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game or MMORG. The game takes place more than 3,500 years before the rise of Darth Vader and approximately three hundred years after the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR).

From the majestic skyline to the dark and seedy underground levels, a large team of The Old Republic developers worked together to construct the dynamic city-world of Coruscant. Watch our latest Developer Dispatch, The Making of Coruscant, to hear developers discuss the creation of the Republic’s capital from the deepest basement to the tallest skyscraper.

It is a large download in HD at the size of 226 MB. You can find this video clip in the Video Game Scenes section. If you have a movie clip or scene from any video game in a AVI, MOV, etc. format, please send it in! Enjoy!

KOTOR Comic To End At #50

John Jackson Miller has announced the end of a great run for the Knights of the Old Republic comic on farawaypress.com.

"Greetings again from the Diamond Retailer Summit, where I'm appearing for Dark Horse promoting Mass Effect -- and where we finally made it public that, yes, the long run of Knights of the Old Republic is set to end with #50, the last issue of "Demon."

We've been working toward the series' climax for some time, getting pieces into place for the big finale -- where we really have pulled out all the stops. Every question posed in the series (at least to my way of thinking) is addressed. I turned in the last script recently and was very pleased with it -- it wraps things up for this incarnation pretty close to how I'd always imagined it. Dark Horse has given us marvelous support and creative freedom from Day 1 on this series -- and we did everything to make sure things went out with a bang!

For fans of the KOTOR series for its long run, I thank you -- and I can say I'm pretty sure you'll really like where things wrap up for your favorite characters. This has been only one chapter in the lives of these characters; in Star Wars, you never know what the future holds.

From the past to the future: Wrapping up KOTOR clears the decks for a major project I've been working on for some time; as was mentioned in the Summit presentation, it's just not quite ready to announce. There are several moving parts to this project, and there are waterfowl to get into their nice and orderly rows. I can't say more about it now -- but won't be long, I assure you. It really will be something readers haven't seen before! Stay tuned..."
