Star Wars
Soundboards |
The Official Star Wars Site has
provided a new feature! The Star Wars saga is filled with memorable
quotes and fantastic sound effects, and now StarWars.com is putting you in
control of the mixing board to construct your own audio clips and messages. The
newly unveiled Official StarWars.com Soundboards offer unique functionality and
content that can only be made available from Lucas Online.
- These fun, interactive boards feature sounds pulled directly the Lucasfilm
library, which means you'll be able to hear clips of classic Star Wars
dialogue separated from the surrounding music and sound effects for the first
time.
- You can take those clips and mash them together into a custom audio message
that you can then send off to your friends online.
- This is only the start, too. In the coming weeks, there will be more themes
filled with audio from all six live action Star Wars movies, as well as
the Star Wars: The Clone Wars feature and animated series.
Get started today by clicking here, and check out a mix of
audio including heroes like Luke, Leia and Ahsoka, aliens like Jawas, Ewoks and
Chewbacca, and an explosive battle between a TIE fighter and X-wing!
You'll want to tune in weekly on Fridays all summer long to check out new
updates. The next theme will be added Friday May 15th. Who will be next?

Comics |
The Official Star Wars Site has provided a look at more Dark Horse
Comics for Star Wars fans in August.
Star Wars: Invasion #2 (of 5) Written by Tom Taylor; Art by
Colin Wilson; Colors by Wes Dzioba; Cover by Jo Chen On Sale August 5; 40
pages.
Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and the soldiers of the New Republic were able to
pull off a last-second evacuation of some of the civilian refugees from
Artorias, but for Finn Galfridian it was too little, too late. Finn's mother and
sister have been taken prisoner by the Vong, and his father was left behind with
a delaying force to allow the refugees to escape.
Now Finn finds himself at the new Jedi temple on Yavin 4, where he is to
undergo training -- but what he really wants is to get back into the fight!
This series is set during the New Jedi Order, approximately twenty-five years
after the Battle of Yavin. The Jedi, and the galaxy, are facing their first real
threat since the Sith were defeated: an invasion of hostile warriors called the
Yuuzhan Vong! Read the preview to issue #1 here.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars #8 Written by Henry Gilroy and
Steve Melching; Pencils and cover by Scott Hepburn; Inks by Dan Parsons; Colors

Faced with the worst storm in the ice-planet Khorm's history, Jedi Masters
Plo Koon and Kit Fisto embark on an impossible mission -- to destroy the

by information divulged by a Republic captive -- and the arrival of Asajj
Ventress and her elite commando droids!
Star Wars: Dark Times #16 "Blue Harvest" (Part 4 of 5)
Written by Mick Harrison; Pencils by Douglas Wheatley; Colors by Dave McCaig;
Cover by Douglas Wheatley and Dustin Weaver On sale August 26, 40 pages.
Former Jedi Dass Jennir has woven a tangled web of lies in his quest to
topple two opposing gangs. Now, all the threads are about to break, and the
gangs will tear the town apart in a war that may doom those Jennir sought to
save -- but not before they take their vengeance out on him!
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic #44 "The Reaping" (Part 2 of
2) Written by John Jackson Miller; Art by Bong Dazo; Colors by Michael
Atiyeh; Cover by Benjamin Carré On sale August 19; 40 pages
The latest masquerade of the Hot Prospect and its crew has been
discovered! Up against the Crucible, a massive slave-trading organization, Zayne
Carrick is having another streak of unfortunate luck. Zayne and Jarael entered a
comet-mining facility with the intention of freeing its slaves and taking a
knife to the miners' profits, but when the Crucible is tipped off that imposters
are nudging in on their territory, a death-defying space battle ensues!
Don't miss this conclusion to the story that exposes a shocking truth about
one of KotOR's most-loved characters!
Star Wars: Legacy #39 "Tatooine" (Part 3 of 4) Written by
John Ostrander; Pencils and cover by Jan Duursema; Inks by Dan Parsons; Colors
by Brad Anderson On sale August 26; 40 pages
Separated from his pirate pals and caught in a sandstorm at an abandoned
moisture farm (yes, that moisture farm) with an Imperial agent, a Jedi
ghost, and a pair of Anzati assassins, Cade Skywalker has had better days. All
he needs now is a visit from his dear old mom!
Oh, and back on Coruscant, the Sith are placing someone new on the
throne... |
