| Planets Section Updated | |
I have tried to get the Planets section up to speed fairy quickly with at least the "major" planets that everyone knows about. I know there are many, many more, but I will get to those slowly but surely. The latest additions are Alderaan, Bespin, Coruscant, Dagobah, Endor, Endor (Forest Moon), Felucia, Geonosis, Ilum, Jestefad, Kamino, Kashyyyk, Mustafar, Naboo, and Utapau. If there is a specific planet that you would like to request, please let me know and I will do my best to post it for you. Enjoy! | |

| Secrets of Star Wars 07 Update | |
computerandvideogames.com has acquired a few pictures from the latest video game that I mentioned yesterday. They have the hyperspace picture I described along with three others. I am not willing to post them here at this time. The first, has a picture of Darth Vader fighting Wookiees on Kashyyyk as the Empire takes over. AT-ATs and AT-STs included! The second picture has Darth Vader recruiting some seedy characters that look like bounty hunters. Think about the Empire Strikes Back scene. The last picture features a Star Destroyer crashing on the planet surface with a Jedi standing in front. Did he bring it down using the Force? I believe the big surprise is going to be the announcement that this video game is the rumored Darth Vader game we have all been hoping for. To see the pictures for yourself go here! Their roles are brief yet important, for they suggest a transition that bridges the prequel Star Wars trilogy and the original films. For Keisha Castle-Hughes and Rebecca Jackson Mendoza, their singular scenes in Episode III meant not only a chance to be in a Star Wars movie, but also to be Queen for a day. Castle-Hughes left her native New Zealand to arrive in Sydney for a single day of shooting on a very tight schedule. "We came to Australia only the day before filming," she recalls. "We did the last costume fitting -- which was only the second costume fitting -- so it was very nerve-wracking for them just in case things didn't fit. But it all went fine." As Queen Apailana, Castle-Hughes inherits a regal design legacy that stretches back to the first prequel, The Phantom Menace. Her robes display the style and elegance of peaceful Naboo. "I liked the whole look of the thing. It made me file really proud to be wearing it." Rebecca Jackson Mendoza, who played Alderaan's Queen Breha Organa, also had high marks for the designs of Trisha Biggar. "I felt like I was in a wedding -- a green wedding gown," she says. "It was originally going to be velvet, but then they decided that might come off too dark, so they changed it." Although a fan of the original films, Jackson Mendoza admits that it was her brothers who pieced together the significance of her role before she did. "To be honest, I was kept in the dark up until I got on set," she says. "I knew I was Queen of Alderaan. My brothers are Star Wars freaks, and they said, 'Oh, you're gonna be the surrogate mother of Princess Leia." The latest Homing Beacon has arrived and today we get to talk about the royalty of Revenge of the Sith. The significance of their roles are not lost on these young actresses. "When I found out this was going to be the last Star Wars film that was ever going to be made, I felt pretty privileged to be in it," says Castle-Hughes. "As a girl growing up and seeing Star Wars, of course you want to be Princess Leia," explains Jackson Mendoza. "And to know that I'm actually playing her mother... I just kept thinking about those buns! I was the mother of those buns! Maybe I taught her how to do those buns!" | |

| Hyperspace Reveals the Secrets of Star Wars 07 | |
Fans are already primed to make next year a Star Wars year to remember. 2007 marks the 30th anniversary of the beloved saga, and already there are whispers of possible events that will commemorate that milestone. But what hasn't yet been talked about is the biggest entertainment event of the year: a major addition to the Star Wars mythos. It begins now. As with the earliest glimpses of Episode III, Hyperspace will be the first place to get a look at the secrets 2007 holds. It is a very interesting picture featuring Jedi with lightsabers and Clonetroopers/Stormtroopers. The Force power that the Jedi are using are causing the troopers to float away with a lot of debris. | New Look For Galactic Voyage | |
Welcome to the new look for Galactic Voyage! Back in 1999 I started with an Episode I theme. When it was time for Episode II, I then changed the theme to match. I have now had an Episode III theme going for several years and felt it was time to come back to where it all began. The original Star Wars! (my favorite episode) It also happens to be the next in line, so here we are. The timing is good as well with a couple of new TV shows lurking in our future, one of which will focus on the timeline between Episode III and IV. With the new design, I have added two new sections to the Features category. Two of the most popular and frequently traveled sections of the site are the Characters section and the Ships section. Along that line, I have now added the Alien Species section and the Planets section. The first two alien species I have added are the Jawa and the Tusken Raiders. The first planets I have added are Hoth, Tatooine, Yavin, and Yavin 4. If you see any broken links or a misdirected page, please let me know. Also, tell me what you think about the site!
