New eFX Products Coming

The eFX July Newsletter has arrived and they have provided a glimpse into what will be coming in the near future. Good stuff!

LUKE SKYWALKER REVEAL LIGHTSABER
EPISODE VI: THE RETURN OF THE JEDI

While we were working on the Obi lightsaber with our manufacturing partner, we had been developing the Luke Skywalker Reveal Lightsaber from Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi .  The design of this lightsaber is based on the reveal lightsaber originally made by Elstree Studio in the "lost footage" of Luke building his own lightsaber, that as been a topic of discussion for many years.  We will be updating our "In Development" section of our website shortly to share photos with you.

LUKE SKYWALKER X-WING HELMET
EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE

What helmet would display perfectly with your eFX Luke Skywalker's X-wing Rebel Fighter "Red 5" FX model?  Luke's X-wing pilot helmet as seen in Episode IV: A New Hope, of course!  Our master pattern was made from a digital scan of one of the original helmets in the Lucasfilm archives.  We also purchased an original APH-6B pilot helmet, used in the Vietnam war, to confirm and sharpen up the details.  This replica will also include the visor, a replica of the Racal RA-150 Minilite Headset microphone and the chin cup from what is believed to be from a kayaking helmet.

DARTH VADER HELMET
EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE

This is one of the most exciting products that we have ever announced!  The long anticipated original Darth Vader Helmet from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.  What makes this product so exciting (other than the fact that it is DARTH VADER!) is the history, the mystery and the lore behind the original prop.  With the help of the Lucasfilm archives, we discovered a truly lost treasure!  We actually found, what we believe, are the original molds made by Rick Baker of one of the original Darth Vader helmets from the long lost original molds in 1977!  Incredibly, Lucasfilm allowed us to make a casting from these molds for our master pattern.  Be sure to check out our "In Development" section to read more behind the development and lineage of this replica, coming soon!

Star Wars: Knight Errant Preview

MTV has an exclusive article about "Star Wars: Knight Errant." Dark Horse Comics and Del Rey Books are preparing to wind things back to the age before the Sith Order collapsed beneath the tyranny of Darth Bane's Rule of Two.

"Star Wars: Knight Errant" follows Kerra Holt, a lone Jedi Knight operating in Sith territory, far beyond the reach or aid of her Jedi Masters. The ongoing series kicks off in October with a Dark Horse comic written by John Jackson Miller and a tie-in novel (also authored by Miller) to be released next year. Interior art for the comic is provided by Federico Dallocchio.

MTV News has your exclusive first look at two covers from "Knight Errant" featuring the work of artists Joe Quinones and Dave Ross. They also have some details from Miller himself about what fans can look forward to in this new era for the "Star Wars" universe. Be sure to read the entire article and see the art.
