KOTOR
Confirmed? |
Portfolio.com has an article that seems to be a confirmation
of the long rumored KOTOR MMO. N. Evan Van Zelfden in Los Angeles warns, watch
out World of Warcraft. In an interview at E3 this week, Electronic Arts
chief executive John Riccitiello said that EA is working on the next version of
Star Wars game Knights of the Old Republic, and it will most
certainly have a massively multiplayer online component to it.
"We've got
two of the most compelling MMOs in the industry in development," said
Riccitiello. The first title, based on the Warhammer property, will launch soon.
"And the one that people are dying for us to talk to them about -- in
partnership with Lucas, coming out of BioWare, which is, I think, quite possibly
the most anticipated game, full stop, for the industry at the point when we get
closer to telling you about it."
Does Riccitiello mean the oft rumored
Knights of the Old Republic Online? "Yes," he said. Be sure to read the entire article!

Today's new video clip is a demo
of The Force Unleashed for the iPhone. Be sure check out Crunchgear for the article. Enjoy!
Jedi Power's Rant,
Now I have a bit of a problem with The Force Unleashed coming to iPhone,
especially being it won't be on the PC. LucasArts stated that there were to many
variables to creating this game for the PC, so they didn't do it because they
wanted the quality to be high. Forgive me, but the iPhone is great, but the
quality of the game won't be to the level of a PS3, Wii, or 360. So I would have
taken a little lesser game to allow me to play the game without having to buy a
console to do it. PC users have been totally abandoned by LucasArts! No The
Force Unleashed, No Clone Wars, No Battlefront III, and the list will go on I'm
sure. Sorry to sound bitter, but I am. I have been a very loyal PC gamer from
the first Star Wars game release. I just hate being "put out to pasture."

The Force
Unleashed Changes The Saga |
CNN.com has an article about The Force Unleashed and how it
will change the way we view the Star Wars Saga as a whole. "There's a couple of
big twists and turns in the story," said Blackman. "One revelation in particular
really impacts the rest of the saga as a whole. It goes way beyond filling in
gaps. We try to make a bridge on every level. The story has a real implications
on 'Episode IV.' In some ways, without the apprentice, 'Episode IV' couldn't
happen."
Also, is there a sequel to the game already planned? "Story-wise, we left
some openings for a sequel," said Blackman. "The concept of 'The Force
Unleashed' could be taken in any direction. We could potentially do a 'Force
Unleashed' game set in a different 'Star Wars' time period with a new storyline.
We were definitely cognizant to leave some doors open at the end." Be sure to read the entire article. |

S.W.O.R.A.'s New
Ambassador |
As S.W.O.R.A.'s first ambassador,
Gerald Home, leaves his position to be an "honorary ambassador" from now on, a
new ambassador is here to carry the flag of S.W.O.R.A. inside the world of STAR
WARS fandom; who is no other than the famous Admiral Motti: Richard
LeParmentier!
Here are his words to the members of S.W.O.R.A.:
Dear SWORA Members,
I was very touched when the SWORA Council asked me to become the new SWORA
Ambassador. Firstly, I want to thank Gerald Home for all his hard work in
helping to establish SWORA on the fan front. I want to carry on that work and to
expand the Alliance in Central and South America and South Africa so SWORA will
eventually be known in another hemisphere. I look forward to being one of your
Ambassadors. Please feel free to contact me at anytime.
Kindest Regards, Richard LeParmentier http://www.admiralmotti.co.uk
