| Symphonic Concert In Monterrey | |
 Master Kal from SWCCMTY let us know that on January 27, the "Orquesta
Sinfonica Juvenil de Nuevo Leon" directed by Miguel Almaguer (a 22 year old
director and SWCCMTY member) will present a symphonic concert of movie scores,
playing themes of Lord of the Rings, Psycho, Vertigo, Pirates of the Caribbean,
La Playa, Superman, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Schindler List, and of
course Star Wars.
Master Kal also stated that in Monterrey, they have never presented this kind of thing before, and the SWCCMTY members have been invited to join the concert with their Star Wars costumes, so the group plans to support the event. Stay tuned for more from the symphonic concert. | |

Better late than never, but it will be worth the wait. Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is the second episode of Star Wars: Droids called Escape Into Terror which aired on 9/14/1985. While traveling to the Bakda speeder races, Thall, Jord, Kea, C3PO, and R2D2 are forced to make a detour to the planet Annoo to pick up a hyperdrive unit. On Annoo, the droids discover a secret rebel base deep inside Kea's mother's house, linking her with the Rebel Alliance. Kea's mother explains to Thall and Jord that Tig Fromme is building the Trigon 1, a powerful weapon satellite at his base on Ingo. Thall, Kea, Threepio, and Artoo hijack the Trigon 1 and escape. Thall and Kea then decide to destroy the Trigon 1 when they get back to Annoo. You can find the episode in our Television Shows section. The Official Star Wars Site recently announced Kotobukiya's new Bounty Hunter Series and they have added three new statues to its acclaimed ARTFX series: IG-88, Bossk and 4-LOM! Each of the Bounty Hunters will include special bonus parts to collect. The bases in this series can be linked together on any side, creating a variety of display options for the full series of characters. Look for IG-88 in June, and Bossk and 4-LOM in July. Be sure to find out more! | |
