Obi-Wan Gives Chase!

Today Aldera.net has continued their spoiler marathon and has information about Obi-Wan giving an exciting chase during Episode II. Spoiler - Highlight to read: After contacting Palpatine, Obi-Wan gets in his ship and takes off into the sky in pursuit of Jango Fett in Slave I. Not after long, Jango realizes that Obi-Wan is on his tail so he takes his ship into an asteroid field in attempt to lose him. Obi-Wan follows. There is a hot chase scene through the asteroids where Obi-Wan gets caught up in some trouble.

Believing that Obi-Wan was killed in the asteroid field, Jango and Boba proceed to their destination - Geonosis. Obi-Wan, of course, is not dead. When he finally makes it out of the asteroid field he picks up Jango with the tracking device and continues to follow him. Slave I lands on a rocky planet surrounded by an asteroid field - not the one where the chase took place. There is a large Droid Control ship hovering over the planet - knowing full well what that ship is for (from Episode I) Obi-Wan again contacts the Jedi Council. He tells them he's on Geonosis and that there is another droid army there. Chancellor Palpatine is also notified of this. The Jedi dispatch an army to Geonosis and Palpatine contacts Count Dooku. He tells him Obi-Wan has discovered the planet and that a Jedi army is on it's way. Obi-Wan then continues to investigate the planet and finds that the extent of this droid army is far greater than he had imagined. Before he gets an opportunity to contact the Jedi again, he is captured by droids and taken prisoner.

Obi-Wan is giving chase? A foreshadowing of the Boba Fett chase perhaps? I bet Boba Fett learned quite a few things from the old Jedi! I also wonder how long it will be before Obi-Wan and the Jedi Council realize who Palpatine really is?
