The Return of the Jedi Cut
Scenes section has been updated with a breakdown and pictures of a scene cut
from the film. The first new scene is The Cave. I
have always been fascinated by the scenes that were left out of the movies and I
just wanted to share with you another cut scene from the film. Enjoy!
Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is
The Clone
Wars-Commercial 04. You can find this video clip in the TV Commercials
section. Special thanks to
Calvin for for capturing and sharing the commercial! If you have a movie clip or
scene from any video game in a AVI, MOV, etc. format, please send it in! Enjoy!
Today I have updated Guy Lagacé's section entitled
George's
Visions. This is the second image for this section and was Guy's vision of
the rain sequence between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett. Guy knew that there was going
to be a fight in the rain between them, but that was it. Remember that these
scenes were created before we had details of things to come. Be sure to also see
other great artists in the Featured Artists
section. Enjoy!
Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is from one of your favorite Star Wars
video games! The latest scene we have provided is the Tour III Scene 1 from the
1993 smash hit X-Wing. You can find this video clip in the Video Game Scenes section. If you
have a movie clip or scene from any video game in a AVI, MOV, etc. format,
please send it in! Enjoy!
Today I have updated the Characters Section. The latest addition is
Lumas Etima from Attack of
the Clones. You can get a listing of characters using their picture by type at
the Characters Section. Or, if you would like to
see an alphabetical listing of all of our characters, you can check out the Character Index. Enjoy!
The Official Star Wars Site has an interesting article about
collecting Star Wars ticket stubs. For new collectors, tickets bearing the
Star Wars title in are still extremely affordable, since their appeal has
not yet been widely recognized. This untapped area of Star Wars
collecting has great potential to grow, as fans begin to get nostalgic about the
events that have defined their Star Wars experiences over the years. In
the case of theater admission tickets, small-town single-screen venues are
quickly being replaced by megaplexes, lending some added historical interest to
tickets bearing the names of those classic old movie houses. Be sure to read the entire article with some pictures of these stubs from
many different events.
I have saved my Star Wars ticket stubs through the years. However, one
problem has arisen the last several times a Star Wars movie has been shown. The
theaters are getting lazy. The last several Star Wars releases, the theaters
don't give the actual movie name. They just list it as Star Wars on their
marquee and on their ticket stub. So The Clone Wars for example, if you weren't
aware of the dates, you wouldn't know which movie event it was. In my mind it
makes things less memorable and collectible.
Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is
The Clone
Wars-Commercial 03. You can find this video clip in the TV Commercials
section. Special thanks to
Calvin for for capturing and sharing the commercial! If you have a movie clip or
scene from any video game in a AVI, MOV, etc. format, please send it in! Enjoy!
Today I have updated the Bases & Space Stations with
the Massassi
Base-Yavin 4. I have added a flash video for a little something more
interesting. You can get a listing of bases using their picture by type at the Bases & Space Stations. Or,
if you would like to see an alphabetical listing of all of our ships, vehicles,
bases, and space stations, you can check out the Index. If you have anything you would
like to see us add, then e-mail me the request and I will do my best to add it
for you. Enjoy!
Wattographs has a rare
signing coming up! Love him or hate him, Ahmed Best *is* Jar Jar Binks, the
bumbling Gungan who ends up saving the day in Episode I: The Phantom
Menace. He’s only ever done a few rare appearances, including appearing (and
signing in very limited numbers) at Celebration I in 1999 and doing an
in-store signing relating to his appearing in Rolling Stone Magazine as
Jar Jar. Ahmed has also signed a limited number of trading cards for Topps’
Attack of the Clones card set.
Wattographs has arranged a VERY rare signing with Ahmed, which will
take place in early October. This signing is scheduled a bit differently than
their regular monthly signings. It will begin IMMEDIATELY and all items and
orders must be in to us by September 20th. Be sure to head on over to the
order page!
The Star Wars Saga is being
released in two new boxed sets November 4, 2008. Don't get to excited because
there is not any new material to be included in these sets. So, the only way you
want them is if you don't already have them. So in other words... These are not
the DVDs we're looking for... Move along... Move Along...
Undercity Attends
The Clone Wars Portuguese Premiere
João Pinto from Undercity Portugal let
us know that he attended the Portuguese Premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars
in Portugal, on the 23rd of August.
We received the nice invitation of Columbia-Tristar-Warner Portugal and
had the opportunity to make our own review of the film (in Portuguese). The film
will be officially released the 28th of August in Portugal, so this was a chance
for the Portuguese Fandom to see it before anyone else.
All can say is that we loved it and we're sure the countries still waiting
for its release will also love it too. It's a whole new Star Wars experience
with new grounds to explore. We just can't wait for the television series.
Our good friend Mark from Lightsabre has provided the
latest news from his site.
Hi guys,
Hope this email finds you well, we have a lot going on
over at Lightsabre.
First off we bring you our latest interview with Star Wars
artist Spencer Brinkerhoff III. Spencer gave generously of his time to fit this
in between projects for which we're very greatful.
We've added to our staff pages with biographies on our
Costuming Editor Liane Bowen and our new site technical advisor Matt Turvey.
Matt's a long time friend of the site and brings his technical know-how to
Lightsabre in order to help us keep ahead of the game and make the site the best
it can be.
Speaking of which, check out our new Setnin Radio player,
accesible via the Setnin Media dropdown menu. Now all 17 episodes are available
at the touch of a button.
(well, they were before, but this one looks a lot
prettier…:-p
We also launch a new video section called NHP Video, which
brings a look into the site and related projects. Brought to us by our former
RPG Editor Jonathan Hicks we're hoping to have a lot of fun with this as we
delve into projects old and new.
Coming this week we have the next chapter of Setnin Star
by Louis Turfrey, and I'm reliably informed that Paul Squire is writing a short
Ryath Centaur story for us, so that should be on it's way soon.
All the best guys, have a great week and we'll see you
next Sunday for our Ewan Bannatyne Star Wars Books interview and the week after
for the final part of our Robert Watts interview,
