8.8.00 Yoda is not going to fight? The public got to "Meet The Filmmakers" last night at FOX Studios and Producer Rick McCallum "could not rave enough about the new digital technology being used on Ep II" as well as revealing they were shooting 2.5 pages of script per day. He was just the precursor though to stunt co-ordinator Nick Gillard who was under obligation not to reveal much. One audience member asked "Has George Lucas approached him about Indy 4?" to which he responded (with a smile) that "he might have" (a non-confirmation confirmation, well that's better than a non-denial denial). Gillard also confirmed Yoda definitely did NOT have a fight scene in Episode II, the lightsaber fighting style of Anakin "was very brash and indicative of his young age" while that of the older & wiser Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson) was "not brash but rather 'deadly'". Gillard also gets to spend sometime on-screen on occasion, in fact he appeared in "The Phantom Menace" as a handmaiden. Special thanks to Dark Horizons for the great info, even though I was really hoping to see Yoda in action!
