Galactic Voyage Featured Fanatic!

Name: Conrad Diamante

Are you a regular at Galactic Voyage and if not, how did you hear about the Galactic Fanatic?

No, I am not a regular, but will become one. I found out about this site through The Korriban Experiment.

How did you get involved with Star Wars?

I was about 4 years old when my parents took me to see "Empire"....the end.

Which Star Wars movie is your favorite and why?

Personally, I think all real fans love "Empire" best. My reasons are as follows. First, it is offset from the others by its structure, i.e. it begins with a battle instead of ending with one. It is also unclear in its resolution, which I like in general. It also introduced me to Boba Fett. In general, it works more efficiently than any other "part 2" in a trilogy that I have seen as it complicates plot, character, and conflict way more than it resolves any of these things.

Which group are you the biggest fan of (Sith, Jedi, Bounty Hunters, etc.) and why?

I am hard pressed to say, but it has to be the Order of the Sith. I am most fascinated with them, and especially their relationship to the Jedi. Among the Sith, Exar Kun is my favorite as he resurged the Sith at a time of complete extinction, and his ambition and power are "impressive, most impressive..."

What are your most treasured Star Wars items?

I am not really a collector, as in that isn't the main drive of my being a SW fan, but I guess my Boba Fett action figure still in the box. I also have an extensive collection of SW comic books, both Marvel and Dark Horse.

What is your greatest Star Wars moment? (Ex. First in line to see Star Wars, Had lunch with Carrie Fisher, etc.)

I don't really have one. I waited all day with my parents to see "Jedi" the day it came out. Does that count?

What other hobbies or Star Wars facts would you like to tell us about?

Like I said, I collect and read the comics, some of the books and short story anthologies, and toys and t-shirts.
