Rise of the
Rebellion |
The Turkish filmmaker for the Rise of the Rebellion
sent in word of his project that features monthly webisodes. I must say the
project is absolutely fantastic! I love the camera work, the tension and scope
of the scenes, and the effects are great!
About the Series: The Story is set between Episode III and IV. A series of
test shoots and short films shot in 2004 and 2005 were later formed into the
project Rise of the Rebellion in 2006. The entire cast and crew has worked
voluntarily. Filming locations were in Bolu, Ankara and Istanbul as well as the
Bilkent University Communication and Design Department Studios. A big portion of
the film was shot in 2006 and 2007. The post-production of the project commenced
in 2008. The project shortly became an international fan film with the help of
Star Wars fans from all around the world including the USA and Australia. In
2010 the project changed it's format from a short film into web series. The
series will begin in May 2010 and it’s planned to be 6 webisodes. Each webisode
will be between 6 and 10 minutes and will be published monthly.
So far three webisodes have been released and I can't wait for the next
installment!
