Star Trek vs. Star Wars fan website earns honor and recognition on Scifi.com

Special thanks to Marc Xavier who sends in this great news:

"Representing fan activity at its most inventive, The Furry Conflict details an alternate history of two well-known SF universes" Star Trek and Star Wars. Impressed with TFC's "first-rate web design" , "delightful . . . range of artistic genres" , appealing storyline and great deal of content, Scifi.com's SciFi Wire decided to name TrekWars: The Furry Conflict SciFi SITE OF THE WEEK for September 10th, 2001, saying "For anyone looking for new perspectives on the Star Trek or Star Wars universe, The Furry Conflict is an essential first stop." This comes as a large step for The Furry Conflict in official recognition, following in the line of other accolades provided by such voices as Cinescape, Fandom.com, Swfans.net, Netsurfer Digest, and Internet Monitor among others.

TrekWars: The Furry Conflict, represents a moving away from the petty, and sometimes violent argument that surrounds the subject of "Star Trek vs. Star Wars" or "Star Wars vs. Star Trek" depending on your preference, and concentrates instead on creating an appealing, interesting, and compelling storyline that appeals to both the Star Trek and Star Wars fan alike.

For those interested in the technical nuances of the colliding universes, TFC provides "hard data . . . as well as information on the spaceships featured in the conflict." Technical issues are addressed, but in such a way that participants may completely immerse themselves in it or, if they prefer, avoid it almost completely and concentrate on the story. The Furry Conflict, with it's anthropomorphized original characters and humorous storyline is designed to appeal to Trek and Wars fans of any stripe.
