| Episode VII Teaser Trailer | |
Our friends at Jedi News have gotten a rumor that a non live-action teaser trailer will be aired on April 4th, 2014, the release date of Marvel Studios Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The teaser will be similar to the recent Star Wars Rebels trailer in style and will be the first official reveal of Episode VII's release date of November 11th, 2015. Now I have been staying away from all the rumors, but this one seems very likely to me. A non live-action teaser is not unheard of in the Star Wars Universe. If you will remember back to the first Empire Strikes Back Teaser Trailer where there where images and artist sketches used to form the trailer. The only thing I am not as confident on in this announcement is the release date. It has already been announced that the next Celebration will be in April of 2015 to coincide with the release of Episode VII. Now I know anything can happen, but Disney and Lucasfilm would have to make a change to what they have been saying up to this point. I guess we will see before long! | |

Today's new card is available in the Star Wars Cards section. It can be found under Series 5 (Orange Cards) and there were 66 cards and 11 stickers in all from 1978. Today's new orange card is 295-Han and the Rebel Pilots of that series. Look for more cards and stickers every day!

Today's new video clip is the official Star Wars Rebels Teaser Trailer! Lucasfilm gives viewers their first look at the upcoming animated series' visual style, which is heavily influenced by the work of original Star Wars concept artist Ralph McQuarrie. Star Wars Rebels takes place between Star Wars: Episode III and IV, a time period previously unexplored on-screen, as the Empire cements its power and a rebellion begins to form. The highly anticipated show, executive produced by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman, is coming Fall 2014 to Disney XD. Now when I first saw the trailer I said to myself "that's it?!" I didn't think much of it. Then I started to scrutinize the trailer and am quite impressed with it! In 15 seconds, Dave Filoni and crew have been able to capture the essence of those first few moments of Star Wars: A New Hope. Take a good look at the detail and feel of that Star Destroyer. It is really impressive. I think it is a better destroyer than what they were doing in The Clone Wars and I really loved that show and the work that was done on it. Take a look at that coloring. It is great! I am really getting that 1977 feel and I hope that this is the type of thing we will get when the show is aired. I am more excited for Rebels right now than I am for Episode VII because it is taking me back to where Star Wars began. I can't wait for more! Enjoy! | |
