Jedi Master Patrick Reviews AOTC

Jedi Master Patrick has seen Attack of the Clones and has sent in the following review:

Episode II: Attack of the Clones

This endeavor in moviemaking is going to change the way directors think about making movies.  Never before has a director made a movie so vivid and real using only the tools offered by a computer.  While many have criticized this movie, moviegoers and critics alike, it hits home with most fans. I don't think that people would wait twenty or thirty minutes in line on the opening weekend for a twilight show unless it was any other movie except Episode II.

"That was an awesome movie!" one person stated when he was walking out from the AMC.  I fully agree.  This combined everything that makes a good movie in today's world: romance, action and a good story line.  While Anakin and Padmé Amidala are falling in love, Obi-wan is fighting with Jango Fett and Darth Sidious (Supreme Chancellor Palpatine) is plotting to create a dictatorship of the Republic with him as the head of it. This movie also has unthought-of designs.  The buildings are very intricate, the gowns worn by Padmé Amidala and the rest of the characters are magnificent and extremely creative, and then the non-humans… Wow!  I can't say anything more than that.  The non-humans were the most imaginative design of Lucas that I have ever seen.  They were all different shapes, textures, colors, and designs.  The Twi'leks with their lekku (otherwise known as brain tails), the Quarren with their octopus looking mouths and rubbery skin, the Rodians with their rodent bodies and their four ears.  This list could go on and on.

The battle scenes are from where the movie draws its name.  A Jedi Master by the name of Sifo-Dyas placed an order for an army of cloned soldiers from the planet of Kamino.  They were clones of Jango Fett, a bounty hunter.  These clones would become the center of the battles that came at the end of the movie when they faced off, with the Jedi, against the separatist's coalition army.  While the clones were all in all a good addition to the movie, it was Yoda that won over the crowd.  Who knew that Master Yoda was such an adept lightsaber master as well as a telekinetic master?  He wowed the audiences with his fast moving acrobatics and power in the battle with the evil Count Dooku (Lord Tyranus).  And here I though he was just a week old creature.  Episode II: Attack of the Clones is one of the best movie experiences you will get a chance to see this summer.  It combines everything people like into one movie.  The movie may not rank up there with Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode II easily ranks up with Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Episode IV: A New Hope.  I give it a very cool four out of five stars.  This is a must see movie for all ages.
