Star Wars Battlefront to Debut at Star Wars Celebration
According to the Electronic
Arts Star Wars page, we will see information for the new Star Wars
Battlefront at Star Wars Celebration!
"It seems like such a long time ago (at an E3 press
conference far, far away) since we announced we were working on Star
Wars Battlefront. Last year, we promised you would “See More in Spring
2015”. Spring is coming.
We’re thrilled to share that Star Wars Battlefront will be
taking part in Star Wars Celebration next month in Anaheim, CA from
April 16-19. We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to
debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event
that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have
fallen in love with it."
I am anticipating the new trailer that will wow us all. I can't wait
to get back on the Battlefront!
Today's new card is available and comes from the Star
Wars Cards section. This specific The Empire Strikes Back card
can be found under Series
1 (Red Cards) and there were 132 cards and 33 stickers in all
from 1980. Today's new card is 47-Headquarters in Shambles of that
series. Look for more cards and stickers every day!
Today's new video clip is the Star Wars: Imperial Assault Trailer.
Imperial Assault is a strategy board game of tactical combat and
missions for two to five players, offering two distinct games of battle
and adventure in the Star Wars universe!
Imperial Assault puts you in the midst of the Galactic Civil War
between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire after the destruction
of the Death Star over Yavin 4. Imperial Assault offers two separate
game experiences. The campaign game pits the limitless troops and
resources of the Galactic Empire against a crack team of elite Rebel
operatives as they strive to break the Empire’s hold on the galaxy,
while the skirmish game invites you and a friend to muster strike teams
and battle head-to-head over conflicting objectives.
Enjoy!
Film Music Reporter
has an article stating that Alexandre Desplat will be reuniting with
director Gareth Edwards on the upcoming Star Wars spinoff feature Rogue
One. No plot details have been revealed yet, but the movie is said to be
the first in a series of big-screen adventures that explores the
characters and events beyond the core Star Wars saga. Desplat has
previously collaborated with Edwards on last year’s Godzilla. You may
also remember his work on the Harry Potter
and Twilight films. Rogue One is set to be released on December 16, 2016
by Walt Disney Pictures.
It will be interesting to see what Alexandre comes up with. The feel of
his music is more in line with a Star Trek movie than a Star Wars movie
from what I have heard, but I will keep an open mind. Kevin Kiner, Mark
Griskey, and Jesse Harlin have all done great work with Star Wars music,
and I hope that Alexandre will create some really memorable tracks.
