Celebration IV
Breaks Records |
The Official Star Wars Site has
stated that more than 35,000 individuals attended Star Wars Celebration IV
between May 23 and 28 in the Los Angeles Convention Center. Celebration IV drew
Star Wars fans from all over the world to celebrate 30 years of the saga over
the Memorial Day Weekend. In the midst of all the fun, the event broke
attendance records from the past Celebrations, even the vastly-popular Star Wars
Celebration III in Indianapolis in 2005.
"The success of Celebration IV is testament not only to the enthusiasm and
creativity of fans and the hard work by folks at Lucasfilm and Gen Con, but also
proof of the strength of Star Wars," says Steve Sansweet, head of fan relations
at Lucasfilm, and co-producer of Celebration IV. "The reaction to the Star Wars:
The Clone Wars panel and trailer, the popularity of the LucasArts booth and The
Force Unleashed panels, and the obvious increase in attendance among young fans
and families, speaks to the rock-solid future of Star Wars." |

Guy Lagacé's
Climactic Battlescenes |
Today I have updated Guy Lagacé's
Climactic
Battlescenes with another of his scenes. This was the thirteenth in the
series for this section. Remember that these images were his vision of scenes
from movies that had not been created. I believe this image was created before
Episode II. Be sure to also see other great artists in the Featured Artists section. Enjoy!

48 x 30 centimeters."
Be sure to visit Hugo's

New Writers For
The Star Wars Live Action Series |
TMZ.com has a spy report informing us that the Star Wars camp
is in Santa Monica interviewing writers for their upcoming live action Star Wars
TV movies. Some of the writers already under consideration have written for
"Lost" and "Heroes."
The show will cover the 19-year span between "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith"
and "Star Wars: A New Hope." The new show will focus on minor characters in the
Star Wars universe, so don't expect them to focus on the Luke Skywalker
storyline.
I don't know about you, but I am ready to start getting my dose of new Star
Wars! Come on Clone Wars and live action show! |
