Guy Lagacé's
Posters and Exclusive Works |
Today I have officially opened Guy Lagacé's section entitled
Posters and Exclusive
Works. This is the first image for this section and it is an Exclusive Fan
Scene entitled Arena Reek. It was Guy's vision of Anakin riding the Reek in the
Geonosian Arena. This is a beautifully done scene and remember, that these
scenes were created before we had details of Attack of the Clones and things to
come. Be sure to also see other great artists in the Featured Artists section. Enjoy!

Our friend Lukasz from Imperial City Online let us know
about a huge Star Wars event coming to Torun, Poland this September. "We're
celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars in Poland and would like to invite
as many fans as possible."
"Today we are thrilled to announce the ultimate Polish Star
Wars event. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars in Poland, the
StarForce 2009 convention will be filled with out-of-this-world attractions and
guest appearances.
Although George Lucas's classic "Star Wars" premiered in USA in
1977, it wasn't until 1979 that fans from Poland were able to see it in local
cinemas. Full of dazzling special effects and fairy-tale romance, this unique
movie immediately captured the imagination of Polish science-fiction and fantasy
fans.
The StarForce 2009 convention will commemorate this special
anniversary. On September 12th the forces of light and darkness, Rebellion and
Empire, Jedi and Sith, will descent upon the streets of the medieval city of
Torun. Here, the historical atmosphere of the Old Town is set against the modern
interior of the "Znaki Czasu" Centre of Contemporary Art, where the majority of
highlights of the event will take place.
Organised by the Office of the Marshal of the
Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship and the Tourism Organisation of Province
Kujawsko-Pomorskie, the StarForce 2009 convention is co-organised by the members
of the 501st Legion Polish Garrison, Rebel Legion Eagle Outpost and Star Wars
fanclubs from Bydgoszcz and Torun.
Please stay tuned for StarForce 2009 updates, including the
announcement about the official website of the convention and our Star
Guests!" |

The Old Republic Official Site has released their third
Timeline holorecord video titled, "The Return of the
Mandalorians."
"The Keeper of the Jedi Archives has entered a new
holorecord. Continuing his investigation, Master Gnost-Dural delves deeper into
the history of the galaxy after discovering that the blockade that Hylo Visz
helped end was a result of the actions of the new Mandalore.
BTC 8 – During a Republic resurgence in the Great War, a bold young
warrior rose to fame in the Gladiatorial arenas on Geonosis. Adopting the
ancient and infamous title of Mandalore, this young leader amassed an army of
Mandalorian mercenaries and bounty hunters. The new Mandalore led his forces to
form a blockade and challenge the Jedi Order, effectively turning the tide of
the war back in the Sith Empire’s favor."
