Temporarily
Suspended Account |
Well happy Friday to you or maybe
in this case not so happy. Today you may have noticed that the site was
temporarily suspended. I found out this occurred as a result of the downloadable
TV Show clips I was providing. In order to get the site back on, all the content
they listed had to be deleted and it was. This means you will not be able to get
a downloadable copy of your favorite shows that I was providing. I will now over
the next week or so be trying to replace what has been lost with content that is
already available on-line in places like YouTube, etc. Until that time, you will
have some dead links. It is regrettable that I will not be able to provide you
with these shows in a format you can keep, but at least you still have a site to
come to. Don't forget that I do have an e-mail address if there is something
that you may have missed. I apologize for any inconvenience and hope to continue
bringing you the best quality Star Wars site possible. Have a good weekend!

An Interview With
The Director Of The People Vs. George Lucas |
Robert Bernocchi from badtaste.it sent in word of an
interview they had with the director of The People vs. George Lucas.
We have an interview with Alexandre Philippe, the director of the documentary
The People vs. George Lucas. He told us what we can expect from his work (it
won't be a backlash against Lucas), who he will try to have in his documentary
(the next ones are Kevin Smith, Seth Green and Joss Whedon), the difficulties to
have celebrities speak about Lucas and something about what the producer Gary
Kurtz has said in The People vs. George Lucas. Below, you can find two excerpts
of our interview:
To answer your other questions, we haven’t had much interaction with
Lucasfilm at this stage—only with Steve Sansweet, Head of Fan Relations. He’s
been very kind to us, basically acknowledging our right to make this film; but a
year ago, they didn’t seem too keen on participating. I hope this will change.
We’ll probably wait until we have a rough cut to approach them again. I
personally think it would be really terrific if George decided to step up and
answer some of the most pressing questions that millions of fans have wanted to
ask him for so long. Needless to say, we’re willing to fly anywhere at any time
to talk to him, and we’d love to talk to a number of folks at Lucasfilm and ILM
as well. [...] Also, I think he should participate in our documentary.
Truly, he has nothing to fear. And I do believe the fans would interpret it as a
really cool gesture on his part to say “hey, okay, I acknowledge the fact that
many of you have a lot of criticism for me, and let me tell you why I did what I
did.” It’s not about humiliating him. That would be arrogant. It’s about
bridging the gap between George and his fans, once and for all.
Be sure to read the entire interview! Thanks for letting us know
Robert.
