| Museum Replicas Joins With Lucas Licensing | |
Museum Replicas/Windlass Studios has announced a partnership with Lucas Licensing to produce Collectible Replica Clothing and Armor! Fans and collectors will find new lines of collectibles from Museum Replicas and their new licensing division Windlass Studios in 2008; it was announced today by Museum Replicas. Lucas Licensing’s STAR WARS replica clothing and armor licensee will assume the design and production of the high-end, collectible ensembles and full sets of the iconic armor including stormtrooper and bounty hunter armor. Museum Replica’s line will debut in the spring and continues the remarkable popularity of high-end collectibles for discerning STAR WARS enthusiasts. The line will feature replica clothing and armor of such unforgettable characters as Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, Boba Fett, Han Solo and Princess Leia. Newly formed Windlass Studios will develop, manufacture and distribute collectible, limited-edition replicas of full-sized and wearable ensembles. They expect the first ensembles to be available for pre-order in the spring while the armor is set to be unveiled for the first time at San Diego Comic-Con International in July. The STAR WARS clothing and armor collection can be seen in person at the Museum Replicas/Windlass Studios exhibitor booths at the International Costume Show Las Vegas, San Diego Comic-Con International & Atlanta Dragon*Con 2008. Today I have updated the Music section with a new soundtrack! The latest addition that you can preview is from the fan film called I.M.P.S. The Relentless which features 11 tracks. You can get a listing of vehicles using their picture by type at the Vehicles section. | Toshiba Announces Discontinuation of HD DVD! | |
It's official, ComingSoon.net has news that the Blu-ray Disc is the winner of the high definition format war. Here is Toshiba's press release: "Toshiba Corporation today announced that it has undertaken a thorough review of its overall strategy for HD DVD and has decided it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders. This decision has been made following recent major changes in the market. Toshiba will continue, however, to provide full product support and after-sales service for all owners of Toshiba HD DVD products." Be sure to read the entire article! Our friend Son of Skywalker over at the EU Cantina has informed us of their latest pod cast (EUCast) featuring the upcoming CGI Clone Wars series. Also, be sure to visit their Knowledge Center with all the latest goodies that revolve around the new CGI Clone Wars series. In this special mini-cast, they discuss their opinions on the latest Clone Wars news and Ahsoka, Anakin's new apprentice and the issues with that. | LucasFilm Sues Gen Con | |
Captain Sith Park sent in the latest news about LucasFilm suing Gen Con! Came across this link to Gamerchicksrule.com where they've posted news of Lucasfilm suing Gen Con. The main allegations are as follows:1. Gen Con failed to uphold its legal obligations in terms of financial
reporting, accounting and payments to Lucasfilm ($500,000 in damages) Here is more information and be sure to read the full complaint PDF. Also, Gen Con has filed for Chapter 11 protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court. Thanks for the heads up Captain Sith Park! | |
