Imperial
Commando: 501st Sequel Cancelled |
Star Wars author Karen Traviss announced on her
personal blog today
that Imperial Commando 2 that was to be her last Star Wars book has now been
cancelled.
"Today I'm reacting, because somebody blurted out something on a forum,
and the rumours started. Yes, for once a rumour is actually true; I've withdrawn
from the sequel to Imperial Commando 501st, which was going to be my final Star
Wars novel. I had issues over contractual matters and working practices that
still showed no signs of being resolvable after a couple of years, so I told the
publisher that I would not be doing the book."
"I'm answering only the most frequent questions you've been sending me, to
save you the trouble of mailing me again or relying on fifth-hand misquotes from
fan sites."
There are spoilers included in the answered questions at the bottom of the page, but she does
answer several burning questions people have. |

Scavengers' Guide
to Droids |
The Official Star Wars Site has provided a look into the new
Wizards of the Coast roleplaying game sourcebook Star Wars: Scavengers' Guide
to Droids. Before you think you've seen it all in terms of droid guides --
there have been several published over the years -- this one has a few
surprises.
The 160-page hardcover book includes a sizable Droid Codex -- a catalog of
many new and established droids for incorporation into the game as player or
non-player characters. "Some of the newly created droids are the EI-9 Network
Security Droid, GD16 Pilot Droid, MEV Medical Evacuation Droid, the S19
astromech and the TC-SC infiltration droid," says Hershey. "A few of the
expanded droids include the unusual RO-D from a Holonet News entry, the SD-X
stealth battle droid from Jacen Solo's SD-XX in the Legacy of the Force series,
the PLNK power droid from the Clone Wars series, and the KM1 mining droid
from Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords."
Be sure to read the entire article and see pictures of droids from this
new sourcebook! |
