Upcoming Clone
Wars Episodes |
The latest issue of Sci-Fi
Magazine has a preview of a two-part Clone Wars Episode. If you are trying to
stay spoiler free you may not want to read on.
Spoilers - Highlight to
read:
The worlds of Star Trek and Star Wars collide
when George Takei lends his big basso voice to The Clone Wars. The former Sulu
will play Neimoidian general Lok Durd, a nasty, power-crazed tub o'lard who
creates a form of nuclear warfare that destroys all living matter but is
harmless to the droids of the Separatist army. The kickoff of this two-parter
(January 16 and 23) finds Jedi heroes Ahsoka and Anakin crash-landing on the
grassy planet Maridun. There they meet a race of pacifists known as the Lurmens
who won't take sides in the war and refuse to shelter the Jedi from the
approaching Separatist forces, even though Durd plans to test his new weapon on
their planet.
Dave Filoni states: "These two episodes raise a very
interesting question about the Jedi: Can they still be considered keepers of the
peace now that they are soldiers in war?"
Lok Durd will be a new character in the Star Wars Universe.

No Prisoners
|
The Official Star Wars Site has provided the first look at the
cover art of No Prisoners, a Clone Wars novel by Karen Traviss due out in
trade paperback in May 2009.
"A training session turns into a full-scale hostile action when Anakin asks
Rex to get Ahsoka out of his hair for a while. Rex, Ahsoka, and a squad of young
clone troopers new to Torrent Company join Captain Gilad Pellaeon's assault ship
Leveler, fresh out of refit, for a 72-hour acquaint. But an emergency tests
their training as Leveler responds to a call for support from Master Djinn Altis
-- leader of a dissident Jedi sect. The Leveler crew must rescue a captured
Republic agent, whose undercover mission has been compromised. And for the first
time, Ahsoka learns that war against the Separatists isn't just clone troopers
against battle droids, and that sometimes the enemies are real living
beings." |
