Today's fourth new video clip is
from Star
Wars: The Old Republic entitled "Jedi Knight." A symbol of hope in dark
times, the Jedi Knight stands for the legacy of the Jedi Order—more than
twenty-thousand years of protecting the Republic and keeping the peace across
the galaxy. Though Jedi Knights have served as generals, guerilla fighters, and
warriors for generations, their legendary combat prowess faces its greatest test
during this age.
Through years of disciplined training and meditation,
the Jedi Knight hones body and mind into perfect harmony. Combining the
foresight of the Force with unrivaled reflexes and practiced physical precision,
the Knight turns combat into an art form, gracefully executing acrobatic feats
in tandem with elegant lightsaber tactics.
I will have this video available in HD for download in the Video Games Scenes
section next week. Enjoy!
Today's third new video clip is
from Star Tours II. Earlier today at the Star Wars Celebration V fan event, Star
Wars fans caught a first glimpse of a new video that will appear in the queue
area of the re-imagined Star Tours attraction in Disneyland park and Disney’s
Hollywood Studios next year. The video produced by Star Tours is a new
“commercial” that shows one of their exciting getaway travel packages. Enjoy!
Today's second new video clip is
from Star
Wars: The Force Unleashed II. The legendary Yoda lends his knowledge to
the one known as Starkiller in the second installment of The Force Unleashed!
Enjoy!
Today's first new video clip is
from Celebration V's The Clone Wars Evolution panel. It is the 1 minute video
clip shown featuring the Republic Commandos. See it while it lasts. Enjoy!
Newsarama provided a live feed
yesterday evening for The Clone Wars Evolution panel at Celebration V. There
were some really cool things to come out of the session and to look forward to
this season:
The Season Premiere features Clones training on Kamino. Shaak Ti will be
training them. Filoni utilized unused concept art from Attack of the Clones.
Production of Season 3 is more than two-thirds complete. Season 4 is in
production with discussions for Season 5. Clone Wars will be on air as long as
there is viewership.
Lucas comes up with story ideas for each episode. Filoni and the writers
fill in the rest. When it comes to the (EU) Licensed Universe - Filioni said:
"Everything comes from George and, as much as I'm a fan of the EU, I think he'd
want to just show you something new."
Filoni said Clone Wars Mandalore is like post WW II Germany and that Pre
Vizsla (Jon Favreau) maybe the Mandalorian Hitler of the Star Wars Universe.
When asked if Boba gets his armor - Filoni answered: "Well, he gets it at
some point, doesn't he?"
The videogame Republic Commando's Delta Squad will make an appearance:
"Boss, Fixer, Sev, and Scorch"
Ahmed Best will be back as the voice of Jar Jar Binks.
I am looking forward to seeing Republic Commando's Delta Squad and where this
season will go. Each year gets better and better! Who is Delta Squad you ask?
See the image below.
The following information was
presented at the Dark Horse Comic panel at Celebration V:
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 is getting a comic along with the game.
Boba Fett will appear in both. It looks like Boba versus Vader may happen in
this comic, with an image of Vader injured on screen.
Coming out in 2011: Crimson Empire 3 scheduled for March-6 issues.
There will be another Dark Times series next year, being worked on right
now.
Ewoks, Droids, ALL of the UK material, the 3D comics, eventually DHC will
reprint EVERY Star Wars comic before they had the license.
Digital content- "We're working with Lucasfilm to ramp up digital
offerings." "More announcements forthcoming for our digital comics overall and
Star Wars in particular."
Well, Celebration V is now officially underway and
the LA Times has an
interesting article about Gary Kurtz who will be making a special appearance at
the event.
There was a bittersweet tinge to Kurtz’s voice, and it’s no surprise. This
year is the 30th anniversary of “The Empire Strikes Back,” the
“Star Wars” sequel that many fans consider the pinnacle moment in a franchise
that has pulled in $16 billion in box office and merchandising. But 1980 was
also the year that Kurtz and Lucas realized the Jedi universe wasn’t big enough
for the both of them.
“I could see where things were headed,” Kurtz
said. “The toy business began to drive the [Lucasfilm] empire.
It’s a shame. They make three times as much on toys as they do on films. It’s
natural to make decisions that protect the toy business, but that’s not the best
thing for making quality films.”
He added: “The first film and ‘Empire’ were about story and character, but
I could see that George’s priorities were changing.”
Be sure to read it all. This is a great article and a must
read!
Today's third new video clip is
