McCallum at Episode II Seminar

The Official Star Wars Site has announced that producer Rick McCallum will be in Hollywood this fall for an all-day seminar that examines the groundbreaking production of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, the first major digital live-action motion picture.

Jointly presented by Hollywood SMPTE, USC School of Cinema-Television and Entertainment Technology Center, the seminar will be held at the Digital Cinema Laboratory at the Pacific Hollywood Theater on October 5, 2002.

The seminar will explore the planning, challenges, and lessons learned in the creation of the all-digital Episode II. Several of the key players involved in production, post-production, visual effects, sound and distribution will offer expertise on the future of filmmaking. Scheduled to attend are HD Supervisor Fred Meyers, Technical Supervisor Michael Blanchard, and Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll.
