Today I have updated the Galactic Escape Pod section with
the latest podcast episode of the "Fanboy's Guide to the Galaxy" with hosts Ryan
Zasso and Eric Boggs.
The Official Star Wars Site has announced that the fourth
installment of Star Wars: Lost Tribe of The Sith, a series of free eBook
novellas that tell the untold story of the Fate of the Jedi's forgotten Sith
castaways, their battle to survive, and their quest to re-conquer the galaxy!
The fourth book, Savior includes an exclusive excerpt from Star
Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Allies (a Del Rey Hardcover by Christie
Golden slated for release on May 25th) and offers a unique look into the
backstory of events that have begun to unfold in the Fate of the Jedi series.
The Lost Tribe of the Sith series is written by fan-favorite John
Jackson Miller (the scribe behind the popular Knights of the Old Republic
comics series from Dark Horse Comics).
Here's a description of Savior.
Twenty-five years ago the survivors of the marooned Sith ship Omen
bloodlessly conquered the native population of the remote planet Kesh,
installing themselves as overlords and transforming the primitive Keshiri
civilization into a new Sith society. Letting nothing stand in his way --
including his own brother's life -- Omen commander-turned-Grand Lord Yaru Korsin
has ruled unopposed ever since. But now his days, and those of the ruthless Sith
order on Kesh, may be numbered.
Revolt -- and revenge -- have been brewing in the hearts of the two women
closest to Korsin. One is Adari Vaal, the once-outcast Keshiri who rescued the
stranded Sith, aided their domination of Kesh, and now leads the secret
resistance against them. The other is Seelah, wife of Korsin, widow of his
murdered brother, and mastermind of the plot to assassinate the Grand Lord and
seize power. But have the comforts of a king and his own arrogance blunted
Korsin's cunning Sith instincts? Or is he ready to deal swiftly and mercilessly
with treachery from any quarter?
Enemies themselves, Adari and Seelah are unaware of each other's
destiny-altering gambits. They only know that there can be no turning back --
and no escaping the consequences if they fail.
Be sure to read the entire article for a first look at Star Wars: Lost
Tribe of the Sith: Savior. Beware of spoilers if you've not read the first
three parts.
The Official Star Wars Site has an
article announcing that coming in May, Hallmark will introduce a Star
Wars Video Greeting Card just in time for Father's Day!
This new card houses an actual video screen that plays a humorous montage of
clips featuring Star Wars characters in "father-like" moments from the
original movie trilogy combined with a light-hearted message to dad. The actual
card design combines Darth Vader graphics with poster art from A New Hope
and The Empire Strikes Back.
These new Hallmark video greetings combine video technology with the
heartfelt emotion that Hallmark is known for -- it's a gift, a keepsake, and the
ultimate greeting card all in one!
This video is from G4's Attack of
the Show. Chris Hardwick visits a galaxy far, far away with Jaime King and

part of the Star Wars universe and stories from behind the scenes. Also see a
clip from Season 2's final episode, #22 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars entitled
"Lethal Trackdown." Enjoy!
This video is a preview for
Episode 21 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 2 and is entitled "R2 Come Home."
Be sure to catch this episode Friday night at 9:00pm ET/PT on the Cartoon
Network. I thought this was a great episode and R2 proves himself the hero
again. Enjoy!
The Official Star Wars Site has a great article featuring Boba
Fett. In the spirit of Empire's 30th anniversary (and these are the
Empire Chronicles, after all), we're limiting our discussion of
the first Fett to his 1980 Empire performance, before his cinematic
demise in Return of the Jedi and rebirth in Attack of the Clones.
With The Clone Wars and four movie appearances to his credit (lest you
forget his cameo in the revamped A New Hope), we wanted to rediscover the
Fett we met some 30 years ago, when a few lines and the galaxy's coolest costume
were all it took to become a Star Wars sequel superstar. What follows are
quotes from those responsible for bringing our favorite galactic gun-for-hire to
The Empire Strikes Back in 1980:
Jeremy Bulloch, Actor, "Boba Fett" "I got into the costume and I
put the helmet on. There were lots of little gadgets and knee pads and the boots
had two little jets on the toes. I thought, 'This looks rather good!' There was
a jet pack, too. I found what I thought was my hair so I put it on underneath
the helmet, hanging down. When I came out to show George Lucas, he said, 'What's
that funny thing sticking out of your helmet?' I said, 'Isn't it the character's
hair?' 'No,' said George, 'it's a Wookiee scalp -- it's supposed to be tied to
your belt!'" — Lucasfilm Fan Club Magazine #21 (Winter 1994)
Today's new video clip in the Movies Section is from
The Clone Wars Season 2. The
twentieth available episode is Death Trap. You can find
this streaming video clip in the Television Shows
section. If you have a
movie clip or scene in a AVI, MOV, etc. format, please send it in! Enjoy!
