Star Wars: A
Musical Journey |
The Official Star Wars Site has an article about the launch of
Star Wars: A Musical Journey. In it they have a special report from our
friend and fellow Sworian Mark Newbold from Lightsabre. Star
Wars: A Musical Journey just gave its debut performance on Friday night
(April 10) in front of a crowd of 20,000 in London, and the fan world has been
abuzz ever since. Fan Mark Newbold was among the lucky thousands who were there
to witness this latest expression of Star Wars magic, and blogged a
play-by-play account of the evening's playlist along with descriptions of the
imagery displayed on the enormous LED screens backing the orchestra. Be sure to
read the entire article for this great event!

Starlog Magazine
Becomes One With The Force |
Entertainment Weekly has an
article that announces the end of an era. If you are an original Star Wars fan,
you can't forget one of the first magazines to bring you information about the
goings on in the Star Wars world. Long before Entertainment Weekly, or
Aintitcoolnews.com, or podcasts, Twitter feeds, blogs or THE INTERNET ITSELF,
Starlog Magazine was in the business of covering all things geek.
Spurred on by the popularity of the Star Trek conventions that
cropped up in the wake of the classic series' cancellation, editor Kerry O'Quinn
and publisher Norman Jacobs launched Starlog in August of 1976. And
after 33 years and 374 issues, Starlog is officially calling it quits,
continuing for the time being as an online-only publication. Good bye to a very
cool magazine. |

Guy Lagacé's
George's Visions |
Today I have updated Guy Lagacé's section entitled
George's
Visions. This is the thirteenth image for this section and was Guy's vision
of a scene from Episode II with a Geonosian firing his blaster in the factory.
This scene looks nearly identical to the one that ended up on screen. Remember
that these scenes were created before we had full details of things to come. Be
sure to also see other great artists in the Featured Artists section. Enjoy!
