Momaw Nadon, when not secretly aiding the rebel cause, is a peaceful Ithorian gardener from the planet Ithor. The Ithorians, otherwise known as Hammerheads throughout the galaxy, have an odd shaped structure, by human standards. Their neck is S shaped, ending in a T shaped cranium. They have mouths on both sides of their head, giving them a stereo sound when they talk, and their feet are spread outwards and resemble tree trunks.

On his home planet, his people live on enormous floating cities, that migrate all over their lush, undeveloped jungle planet. At one time, Nadon was the high priest herd leader of the floating city Tafanda Bay, who's purpose was the planets visitor center that was filled with verdant green area's of vegetation high, graceful buildings.

For eons, Ithor was a place of peace, until the Empire came. The Imperials wanted the agricultural technology of the Ithorians, but for religious reasons, the Ithorians were not willing to share their secrets. Captain Alima of the Star Destroyer Conquest became enraged at the Ithorian's refusal to submit to the Empire and proceeded to destroy the sentient forest of Cathor hills, a race of intelligent trees, called Baforr trees, native to Ithor. Captain Alima then threatened to destroy the Tafanda Bay. Faced with the destruction of his floating herd city, Nadon gave in and gave the Imperials the information that they wanted.

Nadon's people were very angry at what he had done, and he was stripped of his title, and put on trial. The verdict was that he be banished from the planet for no less than three standard years, when the next meeting of the herds took place. Wandering from spaceport to spaceport for a little while, he found his way to Mos Eisley on Tatooine, where he stayed until he went back to Ithor. Tatooine had little in the way of its own vegetation, and Nadon, feeling that he was doing penance, worked to develop new genetically altered plant life that could thrive on the desert planet.

With money that Nadon brought with him from Ithor, he rented an apartment in Mos Eisley, nearby Chalmun's cantina, and had it filled with various forms of vegetation, including some of the intelligent Baforr trees, and some semi-sentient carnivorous trees for protection. He had secret compartments in the floor of his house that could hold up to six people, that he used to shelter rebel members and provide information.

Before Nadon left Tatooine, he thought of a way to exact his vengeance on the Empire. Captain Alima had been sent to Tatooine as punishment, and through a tip from Muftak and Kabe, knew of Nadon's involvement in the Rebel cause. Alima went to Nadon's house by himself to threaten him. He killed one of Nadon's Baforr trees and threatened to destroy his whole garden while he watched if he did not give him information on the two droids they were searching for,R2-D2, and C-3PO.

Angry enough to kill, Nadon purchased a blaster rifle, and confronted Alima in an alley. Unfortunately however, because of his pacificity, he was naive in the concept of vengeance. He was tricked by the Imperial, and stunned. Left with only a day to turn in the information, Nadon was desperate and decided to go to the cantina to drink and try to come up with something. He was a witness to the altercation between Ben Kenobi, and Dr Evazan. When the Millennium Falcon blasted its way off planet, Alima needed someone to blame. Nadon stepped forward and told another captain that he had informed Alima of Solo's droid cargo. Enraged at Alima's supposed incompetence, he shot Alima three times with his blaster and left his body in the street to turn cold. Nadon, despite the justice that had taken place, felt guilty about the death that he had caused. He stole two genetic samples from the body of Alima, and intended to use the cloning facilities in Mos Eisley to create two lives from one death.

After the death of Darth Vader, and Emperor Palpatine, Nadon went back to Ithor and was accepted back by his people, his wife and family. The two clones of Alima that he had cloned from Alima's genes, grew up in peace and enlightenment on Ithor.

When Wedge Antilles brought Qui XuX to Ithor on vacation, Nadon acted as their guide and protector, but wasn’t very successful because Kyp Durron sneaked into the stateroom where Qwi Xux was sleeping, and erased her memory so she could never design another weapon for the Empire.

Nadon lived on Ithor for the rest of his life as the high priest leader of the Tafanda Bay.
