Star Wars Insider
#88 |
The Official Star Wars Site has a
sneak peak at the latest Star Wars Insider. The dark side is strong with this
one. The next issue of Star Wars Insider celebrates the ultimate revenge of the
Sith Lords with an issue devoted to their evil ways. Four separate covers
contain the darkness within, stunningly illustrated by ILM artists. Aaron
McBride illustrates the Darth Vader and Count Dooku covers, while Christian
Alzman provides the art for the Darth Sidious and Darth Maul covers.
A
feature article explores the evolution of these covers, including an inside look
at the development of this amazing art. Also in this issue is "Heritage of the
Sith," an ancient tome of Sith lore discovered by author Drew Karpyshyn. Jude
Watson visits the Sith crypt world of Korriban in a new short story, "Ghosts of
the Sith," with illustrations by Linh Ngo. And find out who's who in on the dark
side of Star Wars: Legacy, the new comics series from Dark Horse Comics. Be sure
to read the entire article that includes pictures of all four
collectible covers! |

Sir Steve's Guide
Update |
Well, in our last report it looked
like SirStevesGuide.com was going to take a different road. They have, but not
like we originally thought. Here is what Steve is saying:
"Well, the title says it all… a lot of you may be wondering what happened
to “SirSteve” and SirStevesGuide.com over the past month and a half… ACTION
Online and SirStevesGuide.com (SSG) went our separate ways. I am now 100% in
control of SSG. The separation was amicable and I wish them the best of
luck."
"The past is the past and I want to look towards the future. The future of
Star Wars and SSG… as most know, we are gearing up for a number of things in the
Star Wars Universe: 3D movies, Animated TV Series and Live Action TV Series.
There will be a lot for us to collect in the near future and SSG is going back
to its roots. We want to provide the Star Wars Community the latest and greatest
Star Wars news available. There will also be some changes made. Some immediate,
some will take a little time. A redesign, new systems (such as the news system
now in place), new staff members will join us and a few surprises are all lined
up. So please excuse us for a little while during this transition phase but it
will be worth it."
"Last but not least... I would like thank everyone for their support
during the time I was gone. There are too many to list but you know who you
are."
I think this is great news. I hope SirStevesGuide.com gets back to their
previous glory and I look forward to the new design and features they are sure
to offer. Best of luck to them! |

Cut Scenes
Section Update |
The Phantom Menace Cut
Scenes section has finally been updated with a breakdown and pictures of a
couple of scenes cut from the film. The new scenes are Obi-Wan
Lectured and The
Waterfall. I will continue to work on this section to bring you more
information instead of just a few pictures like before. You can also access The
Waterfall video clip directly in the Movies section
if you wish. I have always been fascinated by the scenes that were left out of
the movies and I just wanted to share with you these cut scenes from the film.
Enjoy!

More on Original
Trilogy DVDs |
The Star Wars trilogy comes
out for a limited time as individual movie DVDs on September 12th -- complete
with the unaltered original films as bonus material -- and will be available for
pre-order starting this week. This is a chance for longtime fans to
re-experience the movies as they originally played during their first theatrical
releases, and an opportunity for new fans to see a bit of movie history.
Each movie comes as a two-disc set -- one disc is the 2004 remastered version
of the film, while the second disc is a version that captures its original
theatrical presentation. StarWarsShop.com
will be making Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of
the Jedi available for pre-order on Friday, May 12.
Be sure to see the covers! They look really nice. |
