Movies Section
Updated |
Today I have updated the Movies Section with a new Fan Film entitled
Ryan vs. Dorkman. Tomorrow marks
the release of Ryan vs. Dorkman 2, so I thought it would be fitting to offer the
film that sparked a sequel.
Ryan vs. Dorkman (often abbreviated by fans as RvD) was first released to the
internet on March 1, 2003. There is no story. It is all pure lightsaber action!
It features good and evil in an industrial setting, with some lightsaber moves
that had not been attempted until that time. You can visit their website for more
information. Enjoy!

Star Wars Legacy
of the Force-Exile |
Evil is on the move as the Galactic Alliance
and Jedi order battle forces seen and unseen, from rampant internal treachery to
the nightmare of all-out war. With each victory against the Corellian rebels,
Jacen Solo becomes more admired, more powerful, and more certain of achieving
galactic peace. But that peace may come with a price. Despite strained
relationships caused by opposing sympathies in the war, Han and Leia Solo and
Luke and Mara Skywalker remain united by one frightening suspicion: someone
insidious is manipulating this war, and if he or she isn't stopped, all efforts
at reconciliation may be for naught. And as sinister visions lead Luke to
believe that the source of the evil is none other than Lumiya, Dark Lady of the
Sith, the greatest peril revolves around Jacen himself.
Out in paperback this week in the fourth installment of the Legacy of the
Force series from Del Rey Books. The Official Star Wars Site has an interview with Aaron Allston
who wrote the book. Be sure to check it out! |

Star Wars TV
Series Update |
Could Boba Fett and Chewbacca be
in the upcoming live action Star Wars television series? The answer is possibly.
IGN.com has an interview with
Peter Mayhew and Daniel Logan from the 2007 Comic-Con. As for the forthcoming
live action Star Wars television show, both Mayhew and Logan would love to be
involved. Logan has a meeting with Rick McCallum next week and seems eager to
reprise the role. Mayhew, the sage, simply smiled and said "I think he
(Chewbacca) is going to be there. He needs to be there. It's all in the lap of
the gods." Be sure to read the entire article for more from these actors. |

The Force
Unleashed Graphic Novel |
The Official Star Wars Site has announced that the Star
Wars saga continues this fall in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, an
original graphic novel from Dark Horse Comics based on the video game developed
by LucasArts.
New revelations about the Star Wars
galaxy will be unveiled in a detailed graphic novel that fleshes out the story
behind the game, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice." The
story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely
unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith
and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, the Secret Apprentice
-- whose role players assume in the video game -- assists the iconic villain in
his quest to rid the universe of Jedi. But in carrying out Vader's will, the
Apprentice is faced with decisions that could change the course of the galaxy.
In addition to new adversaries, including fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive
Felucians, The Force Unleashed also includes familiar faces from the films of
the Star Wars Saga, including Darth Vader. The Force Unleashed recasts
the scope and scale of the Force in a way that fans have never seen or
experienced.
"One of the most exciting things about writing The Force Unleashed for
different media is that you're able to approach the same story from different
angles," said Haden Blackman, writer for both the graphic novel and videogame
versions of The Force Unleashed, as well as project lead for the title at
LucasArts. "We can explore the same plot points from a different character's
eyes, for example, or include story moments in one version that you won't find
in the other. Fans will definitely want to check out both the graphic novel and
the game for an even greater appreciation of everything that
happens." |
