The Future Of Battlefront III

Kotaku.com has reported that UK developer Free Radical Design, the team behind Haze and the Time Splitters franchise, have closed their doors, apparently permanently, according to a number of inside sources. Why does that matter to us? Well, it has been long rumored that they were working on a Star Wars: Battlefront III game for LucasArts.

There may not be need for worry. The word is now that Rebellion may have scoped up the deal! Who is Rebellion? They were the company who developed the PSP hit Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. There may still be life in this game after all.

Star Wars for Christmas in 1978

The Official Star Wars Site has provided another great vintage walk down memory lane for all of you original Star Wars fans. "In the spirit of the holidays, and of the 30th anniversary of the first real year of Star Wars merchandising, we thought we'd explore some of the vintage merchandise stored in the Lucasfilm Archives that were placed under Christmas trees back in 1978. No Wii consoles or iPods here -- just good old-fashioned action figures with five points of articulation and board games with graphics cards that get dealt from a deck." Be sure to see all the great items and read the entire article!
