tonight at midnight, (I have my ticket! Do you?) I have added two new video

The Battle from Star Wars: The Clone Wars where Anakin, Ahsoka, and the
troops are landing.
The second clip is later during the same event called Vertical Battle where
Anakin, Ahsoka, and the troops are scaling the side of a cliff and fighting
battledroids. You can find these video clips in the Television Shows section. Special
thanks to Calvin for for capturing and sharing the clips! If you have a movie
clip or scene from any video game in a AVI, MOV, etc. format, please send it in!

November 2008
Comics |
The Official Star Wars Site has provided a look at more Dark Horse
Comics for Star Wars fans in November.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic #35, "Vindication" Part 4
(of 4) Written by John Jackson Miller; Pencils by Brian Ching; Colors by
Michael Atiyeh. On sale November 19. 40 pages.
At long last, Knights of the Old Republic will conclude Zayne's long
journey as a fugitive Jedi Padawan -- but not before an astounding climax that
will set a brand-new path for him to follow! Zayne and his former Master, Lucien
Draay, will be tempted by the dark side while the Jedi Knights war among
themselves and the city-planet Coruscant burns around them.
Star Wars: Legacy #30, "Vector" Part 11 (of 12)
Written by John Ostrander; Penciled by Jan Duursema; Inked by Dan Parsons;
Colors by Brad Anderson. On sale November 26. 40 pages.
Celeste Morne, a Jedi of the Old Republic, and Cade Skywalker, descendant of
the legendary Skywalkers, have joined with a group of Imperial Knights and
Cade's bounty hunter crew for an assassination attempt on the Sith Emperor,
Darth Krayt. But Celeste has been struggling with the spirit of Sith Lord
Karness Muur for over 4,000 years -- there is no way to determine how much
control he maintains over her actions. Can Cade's plot succeed, or will he find
himself at the mercy of another Sith?
Star Wars Omnibus: Rise of the Sith On sale January 14. 448
pages.
Before the name of Skywalker -- or Vader -- achieved fame across the galaxy,
the Jedi Knights had long preserved peace and justice . . . as well as
preventing the return of the Sith. Collected in this newest Star Wars
Omnibus are tales leading up to The Phantom Menace. First --
previously uncollected and out of print -- Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan Obi-Wan
Kenobi save a sinking ship in The Aurorient Express and investigate an
unexpected death in Last Stand on Ord Mantell. The origins of bounty
hunter Aurra Sing are revealed in "Aurra's Song." Then, in Jedi Council
and Prelude to Rebellion we follow two key Jedi Masters, Mace Windu and
Ki-Adi-Mundi as they face new foes that will try the Jedi ways to the very
limit. And finally, in Darth Maul, the terrifying Sith apprentice leaves
a trail of death in his efforts to keep the secrets of his Master.
Star Wars: Vector Volume 1, Chapters 1 & 2 Written by
John Jackson Miller and Mick Harrison; Pencils by Scott Hepburn, Douglas
Wheatley, and Dave Ross; Inks by Joe Pimentel and Dan Parsons; Colors by Michael
Atiyeh and Dave McCaig; Cover by Travis Charest. On sale January 28. 144
pages.
"Vector," an event with repercussions for every era and every hero in the
Star Wars galaxy, begins here! In Chapter One Knights of the Old
Republic Volume Five, a terrible vision reaching far into the future alerts
the secret Jedi Covenant to the importance of Taris. They activate operative
Celeste Morne. She encounters a monstrous threat, an ancient Sith artifact, an
army of Mandalorians, and Zayne Carrick, the Padawan accused of killing his
fellow students!
Then, over 4,000 years into the future, Chapter Two of "Vector" -- Volume
Three of Dark Times -- crosses into the period immediately following the
events in Revenge of the Sith. The unfortunate misfit crew of the
Uhumele is thrown into the path of Darth Vader and the now, ancient Jedi
Master, Celeste! Both Sith and smugglers will not leave this meeting without
grave consequences . . .
For anyone who never knew where to start with Star Wars comics,
"Vector" is the perfect introduction to the entire Star Wars
line! |

Lightsabre
News |
Our good fried Mark from our
affiliate site Lightsabre has sent in the latest news.
Hello everyone,
I hope this email finds you well.
I've made a special effort to reach out to as many folks as possible this
week, partly because we're thrilled with the second part of our Robert Watts
interview - which was great fun to do and came out a cracker - and also to
spread the word about the excellent The Clone Wars press screening we attended
in London's Vue Cinema on Leicester Square, courtesy of those good people at
Warner Brothers (thanks guys, much appreciated).
We also posted a second
Setnin Video at the start of the week, featuring myself and Louis drinking a
very full and rich red wine and basically talking nonsense for an hour as well
as making subtle changes and expansions to the site, which includes welcoming a
new member to the site, Liane Bowen, in preparation for our soon to come
costuming section.
(Oh, and I bought my wife Bex a website - www.starwarswidows.co.uk - so keep an eye out for
that)
In addition we welcome back to the site Jonathan Hicks, a writer
who is making in-roads into the writing scene with his book Those Dark Places,
as he brings us a new section A Long Time Ago…
So far, up to the weekend
just gone Lightsabre has had over 300,000 visitors to the site, with almost a
million page hits, figures we're frankly stunned by. We've made a lot of friends
over the 9 years of the site, and it's in large part to them that I say thank
you for helping get the word out there and helping us bring in these new
visitors. This site is a special passion for me and it means a lot that so many
folks are willing to help out and be a part of what we do.
Tomorrow we
announce our Robot Chicken Star wars competition winners, as well as launching
our The Clone Wars Visual Guide competition, in association with Dorling
Kindersley Books. Get across to the site and check it out, and look out for some
intersite promoting very soon (cheers Adam, great idea there)
Finally,
coming next week we have our interview with Trevor Lloyd of the UK Garrison, the
next chapter of Louis Turfrey's Setnin Star and much, much more from the world
of Star Wars and the Setnin Sector.
Grab some email addresses, drop your
fellow webmasters, costumers, artists, PR, film maker or editor a line,
introduce yourself and start some friendships because after all, that's by far
the best thing about this whole internet endeavour.
All the very best to
you and yours,
Mark Newbold |

and entrance could be found Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano,
awaiting their behind-the-scenes counterparts and other celebrities.
From The Clone Wars cast came a number of vocal talents, stepping out
from behind the microphone to shake hands with fans and stand for snapshots.
Among those present were Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), Matt Lanter (Anakin
Skywalker), James Arnold Taylor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Dee Bradley Baker (the
clones), Cat Taber (Padmé Amidala), Nika Futterman (Asajj Ventress), Tom Kane
