R5 units are in high demand for combat starships and R5-M2 was no exception. Owned by Shawn Valdez, R5-M2 was primarily assigned to Alliance combat starships, plotting tactical sublight courses. R5-M2 was instrumental in planning the evacuation routes for the Alliance ships stationed at Hoth’s Echo Base, prior to the Battle of Hoth.
