"Troubled Trio"

Anyone remember those Episode II Selects from many years ago? Well this painting's direction came from one of those.

1. Is the Select I'm referring to. The similarities to the painting are obvious.

2. Is a photo from some more 'junk mail' that was the basis for the picture. Looking at the images I guess I should have number 1 as number 2 because that's more the direction of the process, but it's done now and I'm not going to bother changing it. 

3. You can see some variations tried with the sketches here. I originally favored the third Anakin face for the painting but thought that he was a bit to severe and Dark Side-ish for the likely setting.

4. Would be some of the photos used for the faces of the characters. I can't quite be certain but I think this is them. I don't remember having an appropriate Padmé photo to use at the time, which would account for the not so good rendering of her. 

5. As you can imagine is the finished painting. There isn't a whole lot to the painting, to the extent that I couldn't be bothered making up a background for it; that's where the influence of the Episode II Select comes in with the use of blue as sky. I guessed the sky wouldn't be like that but left it anyway. Another nice coincidence in these paintings; Anakin has a green saber and in the movie in this scene (Geonosis battle) he did end up using a green saber. Sometimes I got the feeling I was being watched, but I'm probably just paranoid.
