The TIE Shuttle Craft was developed based on the Tie Bomber series and is a personal shuttle used by high-ranking Imperials on high-priority missions. The systems and equipment for bombing purposes has been removed, and in the left gondola the weapons have been replaced with a life-support system and two armchairs. The armchairs can be removed which will allow the ship to carry up to 18 tons of a cargo. Captain Needa used such ship for the flight from the Imperial Star Destroyer Avenger to the Super Star Destroyer Executor in order to apologize to Darth Vader for losing the Millennium Falcon. TIE Shuttles were in heavy use around the time of the Battle of Hoth.
