The TIE/e2 was simply another remodeled experimental TIE/ln. Information is classified. The TIE/e2 has never reached standard production status and little information is available on the TIE/e2. This was one of five experimental TIE fighter models designed and tested in combat by the former Imperial Admiral Zaarin, head of Imperial R&D. All five models were part of the first phase in a project that ended with the development of the very successful TIE Defender model.
